So now we have a vodafone rep. on here. Is it the same Lee from their eForum?
Vodafones eForum was brilliant when it first started but now it ignores posts, false promises, lies or perhaps I should say misleads people. I am so heartily sick of Vodafone that I have plonked all the posts, emails, receipts for registered letters in the hands of my solicitor.
And to think this time last year I was saying what a great company Vodafone were!

Throughly disappointed with Vodafone. Been with them 10 years, rang up yesterday as it is upgrage time. Offered a rubbish deal, went through to cancellations explained Vodafone show no loyalty etc. Lady offered me a reasonable deal said she would call back at 3pm no call. Rang today spoke to someone in cancellations.....no record of call explained what i have been offered, nope we can't do that he said. So I said is there anything you can do....no. Asked to cancel my contract and for my PAC code, no trying to talk me out of it. Ended the call with have a nice day. What a load of rubbish.
Money, money, money. It's great....but don't spend it all at once!

ross007 Similar happened to me with no record of my call or deal offered. Told it must leave a footprint on there system. So intimating I was lying?

Not happy with Vodaphone either, it has just come to my attention that I don't have Passport on my account and haven't had since I renewed my 12 month contract over 18 months ago. Now I know I should have realised but neither did the Vodaphone tariff experts who have been contacting me since I was due an upgrade circa 9 months ago nor the person in the shop who dealt with the contract. I spend a lot more than my contract £35/month 500 mins 200 texts (or something similar) as I travel a lot through both work and play (some time £150 month though I claim that back). They are due to phone back today with my PAC code. Looks like my 7 years with Vodaphone will be coming to an end too.

If they are offering a deal they want you to come back and agree to, why would they not automatically send it to you by text/email, just to remind you what a great deal it was.

This story happens far to often and with all the operators. Email details to Watchdog. Considering the amount of people that get sucked into contracts they have to then try and fight to get out of this is an issue they might look into.

Should be something that martin gets involved with too maybe.
  • Well just phoned through to 191 to try and get my phone upgraded to the N97 to be greeted with a message telling me that they were out of stock! Held on anyway to see what they could offer and the best the lady could come up with was the Samsung Jet on an 18 month contract with 100 mins and 500 texts with unlimited internet for £29.37! Which is no-where near some of the offers already posted. So told her to issue my PAC code so that i can go elsewhere! I await their retention department's call!

How do you know if you have passport set up on your account?

  • Went to upgrade my Samsung g600 currently had been with vodafone for 18months and was looking for my first upgrade got offered 24month contract £30 Htc Magic or Samsung Jet turned it down and requested my Pac code via email whilst also giving my 30 days notice.

Vodafone called back today from retentions to offer me deals

    £19.50 a month 24 month
    300 MIns
    Unlimited Txts
    Unlimited internet & email
    VP

For either a HTC Magic, Samsung Jet or Samsung Tocco Ultra
Eventually accepted Samsung Jet as i already own the brilliant HTC magic but we need a decent camera for holidays. Also explianed it only came with 2gb of internal memory and many phones come with more i.e N95 8GB asked if any memory could be added to deal and managed to get a 4GB micro SD card for free.

I always play this card and they always tend to throw a 4-8GB micro sd to sweeten deal

you must be me in another parallel universe and some how im reading this post thru a internet display word text wormhole ....ermmm ok its late, :)

To the point.. ive been with vodafone 10 years odd, 3 years with Singlepoint (yes the John caudwell - Singlepoint) then 7 odd years with vodafone after they brought singlepoint, Same number!

anyways, i expect after all this time to be offered a super deal, I remember when i got 60£ per YEAR line rental and 1000min offpeak sim only, when when Xnet was not offered,

Three (3) give their 1 retentions users a Deal of 500 mins xnet 250 txt 2000 Three to Three for 9£ a month sim only,

You should have a different process for long term customers,?
