every year i send my letter to voda to end my contract, then i get the first winback dept giving me a really crappy offer (couple of quid credit onto my account etc), always decline and say i'm currently lookin @ 02 deals etc. a week before the contract ends ring and ask for my P.A.C code as i am going to another provider and would like to keep my number, they then give you the script about the hassle of moving providers and will make another offer which you must decline again. on the day before your contract ends ring the number of the dedicated winback team (08080600682) and ask what they could possibly do to keep you as a customer. after some wrangling you will almost certainly get a cracking deal. i've just this morning got 500 xnet anytime mins and 1000 texts and stop the clock free itemised bills for £20 (£40rrp) with a sony ericsson w910i! chuffed! keep to the plan though peeps! dont crack!0

Run up to upgrade and got offered a pants deal, rung back the next day and asked for my PAC, they asked why and I said I'd been offered a rubbish deal and seen much better about, they asked what I wanted so I told and got! They gave me 500 mins and texts and stop the clock for £25 plus a free Nokia 6110 on a 12 month contract2p off is still 2p off!0

Forgot to say the guy at Voda told me not alot of people are asking for the 6110 so you can get a better deal on it, didn't matter to me as it's going on eBay and seem so be fetching similar amounts (maybe slightly less) to the SE W890i and the Nokia 65002p off is still 2p off!0

Hi there,
Just wondering about what sort of deal i'd get on an upgrade with vodafone. I currently get 125 mins and 250 txts for £20. I'd quite like to get mobile internet on my next phone, and i'm happy enough with the deal i'm on, but would like a new phone thats going to be worthwhile for internet useage. I dont mind paying a little extra if I have to, as 3 are doing a deal of 1100 mins/texts for £20, then i'd add the internet option on for £5 extra. If I did this by just adding internet to what I've got it would be £27.50. I'd rather have a new phone as the one I have at the moment (SE V630i) has been fixed 3 times in the last 16 months. I've read in lots of posts about getting a reduction in monthly payment for calls and texts, but nothing about mobile internet stuff..Just wanting to get a picture in my head of what deals other people are getting before I make the phone call to voda CS.
Thanks.

Go for the N95 on three, quality for internet trust me I use it all the time, has wi-fi to for browsing in hotspots. Other then that go for a viewety. Thing about three is as much as they can be a pain they are no worse then any other network and they have expanded their 3g turbo internet across the country so you get 3.5g internet when on the road and for £5 a month you really can't get better out there :cool:0

Think I got a pretty good deal today. I have been speaking to VF for a week now for an upgrade. Yesterday I requested my PAC as they wouldnt do me the deal I wanted
Today I get a phone call from them and got
Nokia 95 8GB - Free
12 months Contract
500 mins 500 texts
£35 per month
I am pretty happy with that!
He mentioned a scheme called "deal match". Where a new vodafone customer can get the same deal as me if I refer them - let me know if anyone is interested ......
All in all I am pretty happy! The first time I phoned up they would only offer me this phone free on a 24 month contract!
Any non existing Vodafone Customers interested in this deal give me a shout and I can sort out a "deal match" for you :T0 -
I called for my PAC code today and advised I was transferring to another network as phone free and cheaper tariff.
I got the Sony Ericsson W890i for free and a £2 per month reduction on my existing line rental.
I was on Anytime 125 + 250 txts + STC + VP for £20. Still on same tariff for £18 per month.
Happy as it's the phone I wanted. :T0 -
I'm not having too much luck with vodafone. My deal ends in next 14 days and all they would offer was a 'sim only' deal for the next 12 months at £15 a month as opposed to the £30 I am on at the moment.
Basically I do not want any longer than a 12 month contract and want to spend a max of £20 a month but probably need 100 ish minutes and 250 texts.
I would be much better just signing up with the monthly sim only deal on their website and just changing my number (which probably would be a hassle but I can go through it)
Surely they could offer a new phone considering I have been with them for a few years now - guess they don't work like that!!0
