my deal is up on 16th july. i phoned to request pac yesterday.. my deal at the moment is £25 per month.. 250 mins /1000 txt. i was offered 50% off straight away (12.50 per month) for same deal.. or 9.79 for 150 mins /500 texts... no phone. said i want to look around first.
had a call back today. offered me my current deal at the moment for £9 per month no phone.
i've again said im still looking around. is that a pretty good deal?0 -
You don't say what the contract length is? Assuming it is 30 days then the standard sim-only deal for £10 (9.79 after VAT adjustment) is 100min and 500txts. If it is a 12/18/24 month contract then IMO it is a bad deal otherwise its a bit better than standard.0

sorry.. its on a 12 month contract with option to change after 9.. and on my current terms.. 250 mins/1000 texts. i was just wondering how that compared and if it was worth me holding out for better0

well some people get the full 12 months so may be worth pushing for that as your plan will go back to £25 from the sound of it after 9 months0 -
I called voda to request my PAC (I've got 3 weeks left on my contract) and was told that the pac can only be given on the last day of my contract, or if I want it now then I have to pay the remainder of the contract (twenty something pounds) and my contract is cancelled from that point.
I explained that I was just phoning to say I wanted my contract cancelled at the end of its term and that the PAC was for use after that date, but they wouldnt budge.
Firsly, is this correct, and secondly what should I say when I phone them back?
What I actually want is a new contract!
If you have only three weeks left then surely you have paid the rental alrady to end of the contract as that is paid in advance.0 -
still having no joy, just tries to get that htc magic deal again for £25 but they were having none of it..... the guy said it would be cheaper for them to lose me as a customer than offer me that deal!!! ok i guess its goodbye then vodafone.0

Hi
I currently have 3 weeks left on my contract, I rang up and they offered me a Nokia 5800 with 300 mins, unlimited texts and data for £20/month. This was ok but I don't want to commit to a 24 month contract.
I said that I'd like my PAC code and it should be in the post, but I haven't had a call from retentions! How can I get them to call me?0 -
They will call you over next few days i guess, thats what happened to me anyway.... although they still didnt offer me HTC for the £25 deal other people got last few weeks!!
You should be able to get a much better offer on nokia 5800 tho - they said i could have that on 18 month deal, 600 mins / unlimited internet for £25 month but its not the phone i wanted.0 -
I got a call from vodafone retentions on wednesday after asking for my PAC code.
The deal we agreed to was 500 min, 100 text, free internet + Nokia 5800 all for £15 a month for the duration of an 18 month contract.
They also asked me if I wanted the same on another line I have with them which was due for an upgrade, so I agreed to that too.
When the contracts arrived in the post, they had given me the deal for a discounted £16 a month for 15 months after which I pay £30 for the remainder.
I called them up to get it sorted but they weren't having it (telling me the deal that I'd 'claimed' to agree to was impossible) and also told me they didn't have a recording of the call. My second upgraded contract was previously on another £15 a month deal which I asked to get reverted back to, but they said they couldn't do that also. If I reverted, the discount on that deal would no longer apply and I'd have to go on £30 a month contract for the remainder.
In essense I've been screwed, so I advice you all be extra careful with this...
I'd appreciate any advice from you all on how I can at the least get my contract reverted back to what I was on originally. Vodafone customer service haven't been helpful at all...0 -
Just return the phones within 14 days. But make sure you get proof of postage, i complained about this trick they keep using where they dont disclose the full conditions0
