I really am stuck on what to do? Because the deal I have now, even though it isn't as good as my original deal which I agreed to, is still (I think) pretty good. Here's the deal...

Free HTC Magic / 1 month free insurane
    700 anytime mins
    250 txt
    Unlimited Internet
    Unlimited Landline
    Vodafone Passport
£39.00 pm over 18 months. But they also gave me this at half line rental for the first 10 month @ £19.50

Shall I take it? Or shall I return the phone because this isn't the original deal I was promised. My 14 days end on Monday.

Your deal works out at £507 over the 18 months (£28.17 per month).

Most people (including myself) are getting/have taken the following deal:

    HTC Magic Free
    600 anytime mins
    Unlimited texts
    Unlimited Internet
    Vodafone Passport

For £25.00 per month on an 18 month contract (total cost of £450 over the 18 months).

You would be paying £57 extra over the 18 months (£3.17 extra per month) for which you would be getting unlimited landline and 100 extra minutes per month (as opposed to 600). However you would be limited to 250 texts.

So in a nutshell if you think you will be making close to 700 mins of calls to mobiles, lots of landline calls and be sending no more than 250 texts then it's not a bad deal.

If however you think you will be within 600 mins of calls in total per month and would like the option of sending more texts, then maybe you should try to haggle it down a little more.

! Thanks for the quick reply V1NNY. It looks like I'll probably be better off doing the same.

Anyone got any advice for me? I phoned and said i wanted to leave and asked for my pac. The response i got from quite a nice guy was that to cancel i needed to send a letter in saying to cancel when my contract ends at the end of the month, and that i can only request my pac on the last day of my contract. What i actually want is to negotiate a new contract with no handset. What should i do? Thanks.

We're on a £20 a month deal and were told we couldn't have the Tocco Ultra. However, contract is not up yet so I will see what they say when I ask for my PAC, assuming my son ever decides which handset he actually wants lol!

And, we only get 250 texts and 125 minutes (although we do have STC). Your package sounds much better.

I've made up my mind, I'm going to cancel my contract and return the phone. A shame really, I like the phone, just don't like Vodafone!!

I did my deal today on the phone. 300 mins, unlimited text, Tocca (5mp not ultra) £15 per month. Plus £5 for T mobile PAC code fee and free delivery. Big plus is free use abroad this summer as DD is off to France with the school so can ring/text us to her hearts content for no extra charge.

Has anyone managed to get the postage refunded or not charged in the first place? I do begrudge paying them this, given how much money they are going to get out of me over the 18 month contract anyway!

Just give 191 a quick call and explain that you weren't meant to be invoiced for shipping. I had £5 credited to my account the other day.
