Hi All,
I requested my PAC code and have just had a call from retentions.
Managed to negotiate the following:
500 mins
100 texts
Passport
(as per current tarrif)
unlimited texts and internet
HTC Magic (free)
12 month contract
£24.64 per month.
Asked for a car charger, they were out of stock so offered £5 account credit instead.
I was quite pleased.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Slightly off topic question, has any current customer tried to get a new contract on top of what they have at the moment and get a good deal? I went through the retentions process some months ago and got myself a good deal but need a new contract/phone. After phoning them and asking what they could do they initially just offered £50 credit and the usual web prices (would be cheaper going through quidco etc) and at a push reduced the web prices by £5. Anyone fared better? Is there any chance of getting a decent deal this way?0

That seems realy good considering they dont seem to be offering many 12 month contracts.0 -

It seems very good!!:T but worth checking it again.
Yesterday i requested my pac code, they give me
£10 a month
250 mins
100 texts
STC
unlimited internet
nokia 5800 free
bluetooth handset free
12 months
i was very pleased, but when i called it back to double-check, everything changed. the offer i got is £25 a month for 12 months, only 1 month free internet....
tried to call their 14 days return dep, but was told that vodafone never give nokia 5800 for £10/ month contract. i have to receive the phone first in order to cancel my contract. I left my work address to the guy when i upgraded the contract, but for some reasons, the phone is sending to my home address, i don't know when i should get it...
always get person's name and department first, this is my lesson learnt.0 -
I got the 5800 for 15 a month on 12 months but not with the free internet.
Tempted to phone back because I might use the internet if it was free0 -
ok wanted and got the following for my wife and I
2 x nokia 5800's ( really liek the phone by the way and would recommend it)
200 mins
unlimited texts for £15.00 per month
have had the phones but no paperwork and on checking my account on line aI find that I and my wife are under a 30 day sim only 200 mins, unlimted text contract.
now - there is no mention of anyphone or conract length at all.
do we wait a year or so and attempt to end the deal for apac code?? :-)
or do we do the "right " thing?0 -
Was sorting out someones contract yesterday and Voda contact centres give totally conflicting info to their shops. They were arguing amongst themselves and i was basically trying to return a phone as an upgrade as they had given a returned phone.
Turning into bit of a cowboy firm now i think0 -
I see T-Mobile are offereing unlimited internet on there rolling 30 day sim only contact with 600 mins and unlimited texts £20 per month.
Has anyone on the £20, 30 day sim only contract with Vodafone managed to get free internet added on?0 -
Vodafone have just phoned me after I requested a PAC. They have offered me the Blackberry Bold for free, 250 mins, 100 texts, unlimited internet and email for £19.50 p/m on an 18 month contract.
I am happy with the deal. They initially offered it to me for £30, but after referring to a supervisor they agreed on £20p/m.0
