Current monthly contract with Vodafone is coming up to expiry.
Just had a phone call from Vodafone saying the usual:- really value your custom, want to keep you as a customer etc
Currently on £30 a month, guy on the phone says the lowest Vodafone tariff is £25. Best he can offer me is £25 a month and a SE C510.
Just told him I didn't have time to discuss, he says he'll mark me down to ring back.
That seems like a really pathetic offer to keep me as a customer. Looking at their website

I see the exact same phone being offered on a £10 a month contract. Yet as a valued customer I'm expected to pay £25.
Not really sure how to handle these kinda things. Been a Vodafone customer for about 5 years, but would like to lower my monthly bill and get a decent new phone. Currently get 200 minutes and texts per month but use on average about 20 minutes of that, so they must currently make a fortune from me.0 -

I've been with Vodafone for 3 years and currently pay £20 per month for 125 minutes with Stop the Clock plus 250 texts.
I think you could definitely do better than what they have offered you. Not sure how good the phone is that they have offered you but I would barter for a better phone and/or a lower tariff.
Have you asked for your PAC and looked around at what is available with other networks and what Vodafone are offering to brand new customers? These are your best bargaining tools.
If your usage is really low and/or you are happy with your current handset then you could look at going for a SIM only deal or going on PAYG.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
I've been on a £15 for 100 mins 50 texts for a while now. Never really go over the limits
Would like to get myself a new phone.
Is it realistic to ask for same trarrif for 12 months with asomething like a free 5800? and maybe free internet?
I like things like the X1 and HTC magic but don't expect to get them on that tarrif.0 -

OK this is the deal I got -
Free 5800
600 min plus stop the clock
unlimited txt
unlimited internet and email
1 mth insurance
passport
18 mth contract
£25pm
I think i could have got a bit more off actually as I agreed this with the person that i called directly, but I couldnt be bothered to wait for the rigamarole of them calling me back, requesting my PAC etc. I'm reasonably happy with it - would have preferred 12 month, but its still ok for me, esp since I still have stop the clock which I really do use a lot!We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.
