Not trying to troll or offer unconstructive feedback but why would you use a "bargaining tool" saying you'll goto a rival network and pay £35 per month and £100 against the phone because you're not happy paying £25 per month and £65 against the phone?
If a sales agent falls for that one they're new O_o0 -
Whilst i'm here i'll just ask incase somebody has tried bargaining for something similar.
I'm currently with voda and have 1 month left on my 18 month contract.
I use my phone for data the most, but only need about 200 mins and 150 texts a month, its the unlimited data that is crucial.
Anyone know how good a deal I could get for that sort of useage just to extend my contract, and how much more it might cost for a deal on a rolling 30 day contract instead of a fixed term?
Many thanks for any suggestions.0 -
Just been offered the following from Vodafone: -
Free Nokia E71
150 Minutes (more than enough for my needs)
500 texts (again should be enough)
unlimited mobile internet and email
24 months @ £24.47 inc vat
or
18 Months @ £24.47 + £49.99 for the handset.
Not 100% sure it's that good an offer, anybody got any thoughts on this, thank you in advance.0 -

I would aim for around the £20pm mark with a new handset going by the latest posts from other newly bartered deals. Please support my thanks button if I have been of any help

OK, seeing as your not trolling..
with competition high as people arent so flash with their cash, by a customer leaving fixed payments to a rival network it custom lost no matter how little they make.
Due to the iphone in partucular with such a strong selling tool people are willing to sway to a poorer network in order to have the better equipent. So when you get a chance to negotiate why would you sell yourself short and not mention that your interested in probably the most popular gadget?
I shall rejig your last sentence:
If a customer accepts average they're new O_oPlease support my thanks button if I have been of any help

Hi fsrandom.
I'm looking @ upgrading my current £27pm contract which is 5 months over the minimum term and like the look of the Magic. What is the most I can expect from outbound retentions when they call after a PAC request. I managed to snag a 15 month (out of 18) 1/2 price deal on a new contact (N95) almost 2 years ago, could I negotiate anything similar to that (maybe 9/12 months 1/2 price) on the £35pm 600m/ultd txt/internet price plan? I have another £27pm contract (minimum term expired aswell) on the same account too if that is worth anything when negotiating?0 -
£27 * 18 brings a revenue of £486.
Phone costs around £310.
Overall revenue of £176, this is not including any costs incurred to Vodafone you calling them, the commission paid, delivery costs.
Depends how good of a customer you are really, do you go over your bills? Do you just pay your set amount each month?
If it's the first, I imagine you'll get the deal, if you're the latter they'll probobly not give it to you.0 -

Well I thought that was a bit optimistic before reading some posts here- but the thing is I don't want a new handset. I'm happy with the one i've got, I just want the minutes/txts and data, nothing else.
In that case you should find an easier job persuading them, highlight you just want a new price-plan and convince them they are not providing any equipment to justify your lower monthly cost. Please support my thanks button if I have been of any help
