  • I rang 191 just before, and asked for my PAC code. I was asked why I wanted to change networks, and told the person I had seen a phones4u cashback deal which equated to £25 p/m for 600mins, unlimited texts, internet etc (BB 8900).

"Well we can offer you that - would usually be a £40 contract but we will debit £15 a month from your bill, no coupons etc."

    The deal offered was:
    -Free Blackberry 8900
    -600 mins
    -unlimited texts
    -'unlimited' internet
    -blackberry email
    -£25 a month

Sounds like a good deal, but because he offered it straight away, I told him I would think about it.

    Can I push it further?
And did I speak to retentions or customer services (it was the first person I got to after following the options)?

    Thanks,

    James

James, whatever you do please be wary of Vodafone.

Whatever they tell you, may be one thing but whatever you get may be another.

    Hello,

My 12-month contract with Vodafone is nearing the end and was wondering if anyone has received any good retention deals from Vodafone? I am currently on the Anytime 125 contract, which is 125 mins and 250 texts for £20 per month. I am hoping to get something similar for a little cheaper. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

my contract with Vodafone is coming to an end, I dont need a new phone, I just want really cheap contract with 200 min/month, do they do that and how much? any help would be appreciated.

    cheers
  • Really happy just managed to get the Nokia 5800 on 18 month contract, 200 mins, 1000 texts and unlimited net for £15 per month!
In total I have phone retentions (thinking of leaving option) about 10 times. 8 out of 10 spoken to a male advisor and had no joy at all. The 2 times I have spoken to female advisors I have had great deals offered?
I have also phoned through normal customer service to check my account has the same deal on it and it has Happy Days!
Beware confirm handset is not a return before agreeing on the deal.

Did you have an option to take more minutes instead?

    HURRAY,

Just got off the phone with retentions, didnt even have to ask really, I got

    Tocco Ultra
    600 mins
    Ulmited texts
    Unlimited mobile net
    18 month
    £25 a month :D

Personally Im very happy with that, its a £10 discount each month over a new customer and the latest handset the day it comes out :)

Thanks SOOOO much ssgtsnelly. Just got the same deal as you! Very happy, especially after being told it would be sometime in April as there was a software fault.

Really helpful and friendly Vodafone guy too!
