  • Phoned up Vodafone this morning and they're out of HTC touch, and so I asked about the Storm, they offered:

    600 mins
    Unltd txts
    Free web browsing

£35 per month; I'm currently only paying £25 for the same amount of minutes and texts. Rubbish :( I asked them to phone back later, and I'm thinking I may have to go through phones for you or some other company now...which I really didn't want to do, but it's going to work out cheaper.
  • ended up calling back and got the following

    omnia
    600 mns
    unlimited txt
    unlimited internet
    passport

    £25

    quite happy with that
    Waddle you do eh?

    Hi there

I'm out of contract and on asking whats on offer on the Blackberry 8900 curve, I've just been offered a Free phone on 250mins/month 100 text ( my average usage ) on 18 month contract at £29.36/m with free internet/email.

Is this reasonable deal or could I expect better ?

    Thanks

    Andy

imo that's not that great a deal I'm afaraid. they are basically sigening you up for 18 months therefore you should get much better
  • I finished a cashback contract recently, and am on £40 a month for 500mins+500texts, so looking to upgrade pretty quick.

Been looking at a few phones and mostly interested in touchscreen ones really...(Renoir, nokia 8500...). Called up yesterday (upgrades dept) and got offered:
Nokia 8500, 600 mins, unlmtd txts for 24.47.

Bit annoyed cuz its the same as whats on their site for new customers, but been looking to find some better deals so i have some negotiation space, but cant find anything much cheaper really.

Should I just take what im offered, or is there really a chance I can get a better deal? If so, any tips please?

    Thanks foolsgold99

Having been on Vodafone contract for over 10 yrs, this is the first time I've been prepared to dig in for a better deal.
However what should I be aiming for as a better deal ?
Has anyone else got a good deal on the Blackberry 8900 on contract to give me an idea ?

    Thanks

I'm on an old tariff and pay £11.78 per month for 600 off peak minutes to landlines and vodafone... I roughly use 300 minutes of off peak and the rest is wasted. Average bill comes to around £15 per month. Is it worth changing to other tariffs ...I'm prepared to spend £15 per month on contract renewal to have x-net minutes. what is the best deal available at the moment with vodafone.?

Further to foolsgold99's reply I've just called retentions to get a better deal.
They wont budge on yesterdays offer. So much for trying to keep loyal customersicon8.gif
Requested my PAC code which should arrive in a few days.
Taking a look at the O2 retentions thread on the same phone, O2 seem more eager/willing to retain their customers than Vodafone.
