  • hi all,

In peoples experience what do you think would be the best I could expect to request:
    current deal, due to expire:
Anytime 75 minutes + Vodafone Stop The Clock + Vodafone Passport
    18 months
    £20 per month

I want a Nokia 5800 and want to get this down to £15 p/m preferably with more mins and txts.

I've never done anything like this before. Whats the best approach?

    Thanks.

Do vodafone call you once you have requested your PAC. Mine expires in 10 days and so far no call.....

I first called to request my PAC at the end of Feb. Nothing so I called Vodafone again 3 weeks later. Still nothing, so this morning - the last day of my existing contract, I called a 3rd time and have finally got my PAC. After 8 yrs on the same plan (yep, I admit to being lazy and just throwing money away to Vodafone), I'm finally going over to a sim only Asda PAYG and save loads.

I went into the vodafone shop today and the guy told me to hold off for the tocco ultra or the HTC magic. Both of which are out in the next couple of weeks apparently. Not convinced with the tocco as i'm not a big fan of samsung's.

He also let me see his X1, which i was considering getting but is horrible to use I thought.

I think that this is a good point. I would wait for these phones. Just saw the magic. looks good
  • im in month 15 of an 18 month contract i was called today and offered the following

samsung omnia (was offered any phone, i requested this one)
    600 mins
    ulimited txt
usb 3g broadband dongle and unlimited internet (which i think is about 3gb a month)

    for 32.50.

    what you think?

i said ok and they are delivering it tomorrow, but thinking about it i dont even need a broadband stick, as i havent got a laptop. So ill be sending that back, any advice as to what else i can ask for?

The information shared on here is very accurate and without too much effort, I've been offered what a lot of people have also been, namely:

    18 month contract
    150 mins
    500 text
    unlimited internet

Choice of the following phones (based on my current one being the SE K850i and I'm not going less that it's 5mp camera)

SE C902 Red or Black (Would want the C905!)
    Nokia N96
    Samsung Tocco

There were a couple of others but they were pink and to use they guys own phrase.........didn't think it matched my eyes!!

I've not made my mind up yet but he's given me his email address and set up the basics on my account, ready for me to decide what I want to do and he then finished by saying.......have a look at the phones you really want and we'll sort it for you.

Oh and the cost per month - standard price is £24.47 but he'll do it for £12.50 all in.

Anyone else think this is a fair deal, cause I do!

Seems ok. Is the the new Samsung Tocco Ultra that they are offering for free? If so it's quite a good deal. If you already have 'stop the clock' on your account I would ask to keep that running. If they do that then it is a good deal

At the moment I'm paying £25 for 500 mins and 500 texts with passport and stop the clock, due to upgrade next week and thinking of going for a Nokia 6500 classic with some discounted line rental, how much should I aim for?
