Requested my PAC code yesterday, got the call today. I'm currently on the £15 month, 100 mins 50 texts tariff, which is pretty uncompetitive now. I said I was looking at the new nokia 5800, 100 mins, unlimited texts for £15 through CPW.
They offered the 5800, 200 mins & unlimited texts for £20. I said if anything I was looking to reduce my monthly cost, not increase it, and he said OK your code's in the post!

For some reason I never seem to get anywhere haggling with voda. I guess it's 'cos my monthly bill is rarely over the £15?
Has anyone else managed to get a 5800 for less than £20 / month?

Well if your bill is rarely over £15, then your upgrade spend on the account will be pretty low.
  • i requested my PAC code and got a call the next day. I've been offered this:

Remain on existing deal (500mins, stop the clock, 250 texts)
    New Sony ericsson C902
    £15/month for 18 months

i tried to push for the C905 but they said they couldnt do it.

    What do yous think?

    Think i'll take it

thats a nice deal, you could of got better or you could of asked for more things included in the package, such as when accepting the deal, ask does it come with a memory card, and they usually do offer these things

wow loyal customer, like the rest of us ;)

£15 for 60 days (2months?) sounds ok to me (£7.50 a month), but it depends what u get with it. how many minutes/text/data?

it depends on what u use really as i think voicemail comes out of ur mins anyway. and it depend on what u want for ur £15 new phone/mins/txt/data to whether it is reasonable as an upgrade. (i dont think we can really say if it is reasonable or not but we'll know for sure if u are asking the earth ;) )
im on the original voda price plan i dont get any mins or free tex. i was told if i want that, then i hav to chaing my price plan. plus there is only 6 people in the world with this old p-plan !! shall i call it a day and move up with the times????

If your not worried about a handset you could get the following with a little bit of negotiation:

600 mins anytime any network inc 191
    Unlimited Texts
    12 month contract
    £15 per month

I reckon they'd throw in a cheap handset if you asked also

would have thought u could do much better than that considering new customer on a 30 day contract:

    http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/price-plans/30-days-600-mins-unlimited-texts-20?dependantSkuIds=sku690047

it really depends on what u need tAngo, whether its another phone or not, and also how many mins/txt u normally use a month. but if ur paying for all ur call and paying 7.50 per month on top then is it better to go payg even?
