  • Have been poorly today. Had to dash back from dog walk this morning. My 2dogs friend was ill during the night too. We were the 2 drivers so the only ones not drinking alcohol ! Have been laid on the sofa with the fan on. DS’s gf walked the dog tonight. Covid test is negative.

Should get bills money from DS and his gf tomorrow so I can put some into savings. All direct debits have come off & credit card has been paid in full. Two weeks until payday. I will need to get some petrol to get to the office 3 days a week. The orange light came on when I got back yesterday so I will probably put £20 in so I can have air con on full blast.

Thanks MF. Feeling better today. Managed to walk the dog around the field with my 2dogs friend while it was cool. We are both feeling ok today although my stomach feels rock hard and sore. I am working from home today so no rushing around to get ready.

Bills money has arrived from DS and his gf. Have now replaced the £300 in my savings lost on paying for searches. Remaining in current account £74. I need petrol £20 which will leave me £54. I have enough food for this week, just need milk & maybe more fruit although I have some grapes & strawberries left and a tin of pineapple in the fridge.

I have booked my no-dogs friend’s birthday off work. She has been such a support whilst I was ill and since, that I said I would take her out for the day / lunch. I will use some of the xmas/ birthday fund and some of my own birthday gift money I saved to have a really nice day and I may need a full tank of petrol depending on where she wants to go. She has 2-4-1 NT tickets so we are looking to see which place we fancy visiting.

OMG it’s been so hot 🥵 I’ve had the blinds and curtains shut all day. All the fans are on. A bit of a breeze had picked up in the last half hour so I have opened the windows at the front of the house where it is cooler now the sun is round the back.

It has been agreed we can wfh tomorrow which will be better so I can walk the dog early (25 degrees at 6am 😳) and no need to rush to get home and get ready & drive to the office. At least the dog can have all the fans on around the house and I can keep an eye on her and make sure she is drinking and keeping cool & giving her cold water & ice cubes through the day. Will save on petrol but electric bill will be higher with the fans on.

Have a headache and still feeling sick. Have been drinking water & am now resting with my feet up.

Delurking to say how sorry I am about you losing the house you wanted. I have been there so I really do understand your disappointment. It sounds like you haven't wasted anytime in finding a new option. Wishing you well with the rest of the process.

Budget is good, day out is going to be fantastic and you both deserve it.

Fans won't use much and it's only a couple of days, perhaps offset the cost further or take a bit from entertainment budget.

    Hope you feel better tomorrow.

    Thanks @doingitanyway and MF.
I have set up another viewing for a small 2 bed property, upstairs bathroom, courtyard garden, parking space £220k. Not such a nice area though but worth a look.

Hot this morning already so it’s going to be scorchio this afternoon.

I have a voucher for online shop £10 off £20 spend & free delivery so I may order some groceries. Working from home today.

Location depends on how long you plan on living there. Upto 5 years allows a good compromise, longer not so much. If there's money going into the area, things will change.

Be aware there's a lot of 'modern auction methods' with some EAs down south and finding another £6k+ on top of your offer is hard.

Hope you stay cool and get a breeze going through the house.

I offered the asking price on the last property and went up 6k when it went to full and final offers. This one is priced at £220k and I would have £30k left. There is no money being invested in the area, it is what it is. The £260k property would need a 10k mortgage so I would not go above asking price.

I ordered shopping online and used the £10 off £20 and got free delivery. We’ve just had some rain and it’s cooled down a bit 🤗 so I’ve cooked chilli and paprika sausages & Halloumi and had some with salad. I’m back in the office tomorrow.

I feel exhausted, I can’t believe it’s only Wednesday. However it is finally cooler! Cool enough to turn my fan off 🤗 A lovely breeze is coming in through the bedroom window.

Today I need to get petrol £20 on the way to work. I need to
go to morries as I need oat bran for the dog and I will get more peach squash as they didn’t have any when I ordered from mr A yesterday.

I am tempted to book a day off tomorrow. It’s a bit of a waste of a days leave but I could do with the rest. I could use the time to go & reccie the area of the cheap house
