That's great news! They didn't hang around and seems favourable to use them for the next one.

Shopping is good, bargain price for the eggs.

I boiled some eggs last night and took egg mayo to work for lunch today & some tomatoes & sliced cucumber & a pot of grapes.

Today has been scorching hot but there is a cooler breeze tonight. I have just been round the pond with the dog. I’m wfh tomorrow and Monday and dreading the heat. It’s meant to get up to 39 degrees 🥵

Off to see my house selling friend at her new house on Saturday with the rest of the girls. She has put out a warning that there is no shade in her garden. I’m going in my car & taking my parasol & base. There is no way I could sit outside otherwise. I will pick up a quiche and soft drinks in the morning before I start work later. I am going to take my cool box too. Then when I’ve had enough I can come home if it’s too unbearable ☀️

Lovely and cool outside. Have fed puppy dog and will walk her around 7am.

I need to ring my solicitor this morning and proceed with my sale up to the point of exchange. DS & his gf are willing to wait a while until I can find something in case I need to port any mortgage

The house I looked at this week needed too much work. There has been very few suitable properties coming on the market this week. Just one property which I am viewing next Saturday & is advertised as “modernised” so hopefully will not need any work. £10k over budget. Tiny bathroom just big enough to fit a walk-in shower and toilet with sink on top! Walk-through bedroom 2 to bedroom 3 which would put a lot of people off, but I could have as a bedroom/ walk-in dressing room & storage, leaving bedroom 1 as a guest room. Downstairs is lounge, kitchen diner & study.

Today I am going to walk the dog, spray the weeds in the front forecourt & pop to the co op for more squash, quiche & something alcohol free to drink at my friends house tomorrow. They didn’t have peach squash the other day so I bought orange & mango but it is triggering my acid reflux.

Depending on the size of B2, consider a false wall to create a hallway, making B3 a standalone bedroom. Assuming it's the layout I think it is.

Housewarming gathering will be fun, don't blame you packing shade!

  • Lots of options MF but I will probably live with it as it is. The layout would suit me and I wouldn’t have any money to make changes.

Still no peach squash in the co op so it’s water or pepsi max. Got a cheese & pickle quiche reduced to clear £2.50 down from £3.75. I have put it in the freezer and will get it out again in the morning to extend the use-by date. Also got some strawberries, bacon, rolls & hot and spicy cooked chicken wings.  I had a bacon & egg roll for breakfast and will have the chicken wings tonight. Didn’t see any alcohol free fruit cider or anything else I fancied for tomorrow so I will call in morries on the way.

Just waiting for the washing to finish so I can hang it out before I start work. I have sprayed the weeds out front of the house with weedkiller and they are shrivelling quickly in the heat.

Finished work and had the chicken wings cold. (They were already cooked! ) Couldn’t bring myself to put the oven on 🔥🥵☀️

My no-dogs friend phoned and I am going to have a shower and hair wash then go to the pub. 🤗

Enjoy the pub, order a tap water with the alcohol, as it's easy to become dehydrated in the heat.

  • Went out about 8.30 and only had one drink then we went for food. I think it was too late at night though as I have stomach pains again today.  It’s difficult, when it’s hot I feel sick and don’t want to eat and when I eat when it’s cooler later at night it gives me cramps & reflux 😕

I walked the dog early and have had a snooze on the kitchen sofa. It’s cooler at the back of the house in the mornings. I walked up to the chemist and it is boiling already 🥵 I’m just going to hang out a wash & it should dry very quickly before I go out at 1pm

Can you fill yourself up on liquids and have a light bite later when it's cooler?  Like you, I don't want to eat when I'm hot and I make a pint of something (milkshake, iced coffee, squash etc), full belly, no effort.

Enjoy the gathering and stay hydrated.

Washing dried very quickly. Brought it in & hung up before I went out. Spent £3.50 in morries on crisps, breadsticks & drink.  Enjoyed the gathering, stayed hydrated, took my parasol & base and sat in the shade, ate very little , was still 🤮

Have dropped off my no-dogs friend at her house and am now home having a lie down with my feet up.
