That's a good shop you've done and the meals sound nice.

Hope the op goes well and it's not too long a wait.

    Fingers crossed for puppy dog!

    Meals sound very organised :)
  • Have walked the dog for an hour this morning in the sun, it’s nice & warm when sheltered from the cool wind.

One load of washing out on the line to dry. Gammon is on low in the slow cooker. Whole cauli & leaves chopped up & now cooking in the electric steamer & will then be frozen.

Later today I will do a bit of tidying in the garden & cut the grass.

You're having a productive day. Good use of the tasty leaves.

  • It was a huge cauli & it’s unusual to get so many fresh green leaves. My steamer is one of those 3 tiered basket ones. I only steamed the leaves for 5 mins in a basket separate from the cauli & then removed that basket & froze like cabbage. If I’m using the steamer I try to fill it up to make the most of the energy use

2 loads of washing done. I looked up at the skyline when putting out the second load & noticed some of the mortar around the roof ridge tiles has fallen out 😕 I will phone the roofer tomorrow and hope it just needs a bit of repointing.

Gave the grass a quick cut with my little hover mower. Pulled up a couple of weeds & poured boiling water over the weeds coming up between the patio slabs.

Have just fed the dog and will walk her a bit later. Can’t believe it’s back to work tomorrow! At least it will be a bank holiday weekend with Friday and Monday off 🤗

  • Walked the dog this morning, it was lovely and sunny & the cold wind has gone. Bumped into my friend with 2dogs and walked on with them.

Have boiled some eggs for lunches & used the boiling hot water to pour over another large weed in the patio.

Later today I will cook a pack of chicken sausages in the oven for lunches & will roast some potatoes & parsnips and chicken fillets for dinner to fill up the oven. Should only take 20-30 minutes.

I was going to pay my credit card this morning but it has disappeared from the app. I am waiting to hear back from the bank to find out what’s going on.

    You've done a lot.

Hopefully it will just be roof pointing required.

Food sounds great, varied and using a steamer is a lot better than individual pans.

Have you got the latest app, as having the old one can cause funny things to happen.

    Roll on BH!

  • Banking is sorted. Seems to have been something going on at their end.

Have walked the dog and bumped into my friend with 2dogs again so we walked together. Lovely and sunny but cold wind 🥶

I start work later and am just about to go out to get a couple of birthday cards & will take them to the post office so I only have to pay for 2 stamps rather than buy a book.

    Car into garage tomorrow
