MF, I never charged DS “rent” just half the bills plus £15 dog food & £10 for extra high speed broadband that DS wanted & £10 for emergency vet bills excess (not covered by insurance which DS pays). They have never contributed to the mortgage which was a deliberate decision. Not charging “rent” has helped them save to buy a house. They buy their own food, toiletries and cleaning/ washing stuff & we alternate buying things like toilet rolls, washing up liquid, cling film, bin bags etc. They pay their way & I am not out of pocket.
It’s pouring with rain here this morning. Have been looking on the dog food website and they have changed their packaging & there is no mention of working dog food, which was cheaper as zero rated vat. So I will ring them before we set off to check the prices.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

You are a lovely kind mum, the expensive house prices will be hard for youngsters to pay off unless they are given kind chances like this. Hope you are having fun.Aiming for a minimal spend 20223

Stocked up on dog food 4 x 15kg £105.40. Took DF for lunch & drink total spend £16.30. DF gave me petrol money to get home which was lovely of him ☺️
Warning light came on in the car on the way home so booked it into the garage, earliest they could look at it is next week. Hopefully it won’t cost too much 😕 I contacted my boss and I can work from home that day.Very blustery today. Just about to get up and walk the dog. She was very pleased to see me when I got back ☺️
Have cancelled driving to my friends new house today due to car troubles. Just local pottering in the car no motorway driving till it’s fixed. I need food & to take back some george clothes for a refund. I have a hair appointment tomorrow. My other friend cancelled Friday so I’m feeling a bit fed up. Am going to contact another friend and see if she’s free on Friday at short notice0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Walked the dog and just got back before the rain. I have been pottering around cleaning the kitchen & emptying the bins. I’ve only been away a week! Have bleach cleaned the worktops & the sink.My friend (who I met at evening classes a few years ago) is free on Friday and I haven’t seen her since Christmas so we are meeting locally for lunch 😊 She has a meer cat Voucher which I think may be 2 for 1. Tomorrow I will go shopping in the morning then get my hair cut.Found a few bits of food in the fridge/ freezer / cupboards so I had 2 sausage, scrambled egg & toast for breakfast. Lunch will be jacket potato with tuna mayo & dinner will be one of my batch cooked frozen meals, mince beef & veg pasta bake with cheesy topping.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

That went really quick.
Sorry you've had to deal with the kitchen when you got back.
Hope it's nothing serious with your car.
Your Friday plans sound great, as does having a pamper.

Had to take puppy dog to the vet this morning £30, will reclaim from DS/insurance as she needs an op to remove a growth & have it tested. Fingers crossed it’s not cancerous.😢 Op will be £670 most of which should be covered by insurance.Treated myself to fish cake & chips for lunch with cash in my purse & then hair cut £26.50 from household account.Returned 2 items to george for a refund to credit card.I am looking forward to meeting my friend for lunch tomorrow0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
