I was looking online last night and found that specsavers do a range of glasses with lenses for £19 !! They kept that quiet!!
After walking the dog I popped into my local store and I could try all the different tints so I knew how dark they will be, so they will add the tint for £15. Cheaper to buy new glasses and lenses than just have lenses put in old frames.I would usually just buy online but I was so unsure about the tint. I have bought normal distance glasses & computer glasses (2 different prescriptions) in the 2 for 1 and 2 different frame pairs of prescription sunglasses in 2 for 1 from glasses direct before. All have been excellent & great price. Then went to aldee and spent £51.83 on enough shopping for 2 weeks. May just need top up of milk & fruit. Managed to get a chilli chicken pizza for tea £1.35 and garlic bread slices (10 pack) 72p should do 5 meals. I am starting work soon until 6pm so I will be glad of something quick & easy to cook. Glad it’s Friday 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

They used to be £15, it's the range I've always picked my glasses from. The tints are not as dark as they used to have as I would have normal and dark tint to act as my sunglasses.
Shopping was a good price.
Hope work passes without hiccups.

Thanks MF. The darker tints were dark enough for sunglasses and came in brown or grey. If you wanted sunglasses it was £15 tint and £15 to add uva (?) protection. I only needed the tint for indoor use as they are for computer use and went with grey so everything looks more natural. Hopefully they are going to put a rush on them to be ready early next week as I am still getting headaches & eye strain.I had pizza and 2 slices of garlic bread after work 😋 Then fell asleep on the sofa 😴 Now I am about to get up for a cup of tea and feed the dog, then I will go back to bed and I can walk her later. I am going to make a curry in my slow cooker today. Beef madras with chickpeas and add cooked cauli & broccoli from the freezer at the end. Bulks it out so more portions to freeze and one of my 5 a day 😆
List of jobs for today
- Walk the dog
- beef curry in slow cooker
- Hoover the living room (my office) and hall stairs & landing

The extras are where S really make their money.
Food looks great, I can almost smell your curry based on the description.
If you stop paying in when at £1k, you'll get the interest, move the interest to a better account as they pay 0.01% on everything over £1k.
- I'd hoped they would increase the SB interest, but appear to be showing no signs yet.
Have you opened a V account? Their current account pays 2.02% a year on £1k, the linked savings account has just increased to 1%. I've been moving the CA interest to the LS each month. I do like the LS as you can set up pots for different things.
There are plenty of regular savers with different institutions. Look on the savings board for the best account thread, keep an eye on the first couple of pages as it's updated each week.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Really struggling today. After a weekend mostly resting I don’t know why I feel so exhausted.
Weekend job’s completed include multiple emptying and reloading the dishwasher plus 2 loads of washing dried outside. Hoovered the hall & living room. Cleaned the bathroom and glass shower screen
Have just walked the dog and start work at home shortly.DS & gf have set up an appointment with the broker. I am worried there are very few small 2 bed houses on the market at the moment other than ones that need work & I don’t want to have to do any apart from maybe a bit of decorating. Once mine is sold I can save £500 a month so perhaps I can go up a bit in price and hopefully get a good deal as a cash buyer.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

You've a lot of mental energy being used at the moment, things will settle again soon.
Consider a small mortgage, some lenders minimum are £15k, most are £25k, it will give you a little wiggle room and can be paid off quickly.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Give it a few weeks. Most people wait till around Easter to put property on the market. Hopefully you'll have much more choice then. Also agree with MF about a small mortgage, if necessary. You'd quickly be able to pay it off, and if it makes life easier it may be worth it. XXI Believe.....

Thanks MF and Chrystal. I will be paying my mortgage off when the money comes through so I really don’t want to take out another one. I should have £250,000 left & have £10000 savings to cover legal costs, stamp duty etc.
I hope to save to retire early. Current savings £300 a month, mortgage is just over £200. 3 years would give me £18000. No redundancy pay now so I will need another job, looking for less hours and less stressful.Had a lovely sunny dog walk this morning. Cold wind 🥶 Washing is just finishing to hang out and it’s clouded over and the sun has gone. Good drying wind though so hopefully sheets will dry outside before rain forecast around 3pm0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hope you find a nice, cosy home when you've sold yours. You'll be in a good position not to jump at one and hold out for getting one which meets all requirements.
I've had your sunshine!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Sheets dried on the line yesterday. We never did get any rain. It was sunny again around 4pm so I took the dog out for a walk. DS & gf were both at work until after dark.I have paid off my credit card in full. Mostly car tax from annual bills account. Just waiting for new council tax bill. Not sure how the rebate will work if the bill is transferred to DS & gf in the next few months. Would also make sense to keep the gas & electric in my name until the fixed lower rate ends in May.The dog has had her breakfast and is snoozing. I will walk her later before working from home. If it’s good drying weather today I will get 3 x furry throws from sofas washed & hung out to dry. We may still need them when it’s chilly in the evenings. Heating not off yet.I’ve been trying to work out what I will need for money laundering checks on house buying/ selling? Hopefully a birth certificate, recent council tax bill, paper driving licence will do. I don’t have a photo driving licence or in-date passport. Will be an annoying cost if I have to pay for either of those.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
