  • If it means your shopping is done for this month, why not. Slip in extra bathroom things as they always get used.

  • Lidl spend £26.58 minus £5 = £21.58. I got a large pack of cubed beef, swede & carrots, large pork joint, bacon, 15 eggs, a few basics tins / jars curry sauce & a few freezer items as well as bleach, handwash, box tissues & 4 pints skimmed milk.

I need to do some cooking over the next few days together with the stuff bought in mr t and cook the pork in slow cooker, mince beef & bean & veg chilli, beef stew, beef curry, chicken & peppers in black bean sauce, chicken curry & peri peri chicken in a Nando’s sauce that was on offer in mr t. Should be plenty to go in the freezer.

I should have DS & his gf bills money hit my account today so I will move money around later after work. Right I’m off to walk the dog.

  • Made a chilli after work, one portion for tea & 3 in the freezer. 2 dog walks & walk to the chemist for meds.

Moved money into savings & household pots and paid credit card. £50 has gone into 3% account & £300 into long term/ moving savings. Total savings £5850 including £1000 emergency fund. £61.16 left until payday. Most of that is unused petrol fund & leftover entertainment fund. May need more milk & loo rolls before payday. Council tax free this month moved into holiday pot, £150 for petrol up north & meals / days out when I go to see family once we are back to some sort of normal!

  • Savings are looking healthy and you've a nice amount left for staples until payday.

  • So glad it’s friday 🤗

GP consult he thinks I probably broke my coxywhatsit when I fell on my posterior on the stairs in the summer & its taking longer to heal. Not much help. I am looking for a special cushion online to use on my work chair as sitting oddly is triggering back pain. He also said he was booking me in for a covid jab if I wanted one 🤗

Made a chicken curry for dinner & a spare portion into the freezer. I am going to cook the cubed beef in my slow cooker today with half for a couple of portions of stew & the rest for beef madras into the freezer. Then I will cook the pork in the slow cooker tomorrow for pulled pork wraps & other meals next week.

  • Well done on savings, those cushions are on ebay and really good. I bought one for my mum after she had a bad fall. Your food sounds lovely. You are rich with £61 left till payday, twice as much as me. Well done.
