  • Meeting was a waste of time. Basically senior management just talking at us & none of the many questions were answered. The union are recommending accepting & they have a meeting on 9th so will see what happens then. Feelings are running very high.

So glad it’s Friday. Short foggy walk with the dog this morning & lovely long walk in the sun this afternoon between hailstorm & now pouring rain. It was lovely to feel warm sun on my face.

I have received an email from lidl with a voucher for £5 off £25 spend so will probably shop there next week.

I am so sorry Skinty. This is so scary, it's happening to us too and we know they have already decided but wont tell us till as late as possible. Good luck and all my love.

  • I don't understand why companies call meetings, but don't answer questions. It's easy to work out what's likely to be asked and think of replies. Have the union explained why it should be accepted, besides the whole there's no other option.

How lovely to receive a voucher!

Enjoy your weekend, try and get out a bit of the weather is ok.

  • Have had a lie in since feeding the dog at 6am. Am just about to get up and take her for a walk.

The leather-look storage box I ordered for under the stairs has arrived so I am going to tidy the hall later. The new hall runner looks great so I have rolled it back up and will put it back down when we have viewings. I am looking at a soft mocha paint for the hall. Should tie in with the cream/brown colours & dark wood without being too dark.

Food today will be from stores
    B - bacon, egg, bubble & squeak
L - home made veg soup
D - chicken, broccoli, mushrooms & leeks in cream cheese sauce (Philly & drop of milk to thin)

I phoned the dr for my blood results yesterday but the receptionist couldn’t understand the notes on my record. The only bit that made sense was “good diabetes control” She has booked me a slot for Wednesday for the diabetes nurse to call me.

Weather forecast is snow & v cold next few days only 2 degrees in the day here! Will not be risking walking if it’s bad, cannot deal with another fall.  The dog can just “go” in the garden if necessary. Take care everyone

Mocha is a good choice, I did it in my ex's house.

I thought Dr receptionists knew everything 😁 good control is a positive sign and it will all become clear when you speak with the nurse.

We lost our snow forecast, it's just wet and cold up here. Falls are not good and the garden is fine for PD.

Have a restful weekend. I am keeping fingers crossed.

  • Struggling to find the right shade of paint online. Wilco have 2 tins for £20 or b n q big brand name kitchen paint £22 will need 2 tins so £44. Am tempted by the £20 offer but maybe the kitchen paint would be better quality for a high traffic area that will need wiping down often after muddy dog. Decisions, decisions 🤔

No snow so far today. Am just getting up to walk the dog. Food today will be from stores
    B - bacon mushroom & cheese omelette
    L - tuna salad
D - pork chop, swede & carrot mash, cabbage & leeks all pre cooked from freezer

Really should weigh myself. Think I have done too much celebrating 🙄

I don't think picking paint online is easy to do as not many people calibrate their screens and the photos of paint do not always show the colour it really is.

I've had to wipe my lounge wall a few times as somehow my cat is getting food up it! None of the paint has transferred to the sponge. That was just trade white from h0m3bas3.

Pick a hard-wearing wipeable paint for the hall, have a neutral colour in both rooms as this isn't for your long-term benefit.

Food looks good. Weigh yourself next week instead, gives you time to settle back in to your food routine.

  • Did weigh myself yesterday and put on 1lb so not that bad & it will come off again.

Car tax reminder came today & cheapest options is to pay £125 for 12 months, it’s due on 28 Feb. Will pay from annual bills account.

I have settled on milky coffee paint for the hall, stairs & landing as the reviews were good & it looked lovely in customer photos & is wipeable. Currently on offer at wilco 2 for £20 saving £4 & so I paid for delivery £5 so £25 total. Cheaper than b n q branded name which makes sense if I’m moving & means I don’t have to trek into town & it’s not really an essential journey.

We have had a few snow flurries today but nothing settled thankfully. It is bitterly cold out there though. I am hoping to go food shopping to aldi on Wednesday. Cupboards are very bare but there should be enough to make a few meals
    today -
b - mashed mackerel in tomato sauce on toast
l - chicken & peppers in black bean sauce
D - chicken breast, mashed swede & carrots, broccoli & leeks & gravy
    Tuesday
b - leftover gammon in freezer with bubble & squeak & poached egg
    l - stew
d- chicken, mushrooms, broccoli & leeks in philly soft cheese sauce

1lb isn't much and you will lose it again this week. Food looks good.

Has it already been a year since you last taxed your car 😯

Paint colour choice sounds great, homely and warm.
