Did weigh myself yesterday and put on 1lb so not that bad & it will come off again.

Same here! I'm blaming it on water weight  :p The paint colour sounds very nice.

Food will keep the cold out!  1 lb is fine, Im too scared to weigh myself. I bought crisps two days ago and ate the lot! We will walk it off in the summer. This paint sounds really nice. I keep looking at my garden which needs work but didnt dare to leave as it snowed all day here. The days are getting brighter we have so much to look forward to am keeping fingers crossed for you this week.

No snow has settled here this week even though we have had a few flurries but it has been bitterly cold. Today is forecast to be minus 7 which is unheard of for the south 🥶 Heating has been on full blast.

I got a leaflet through the door for a new app for coop with a code for free delivery so I ordered my shopping from there so I didn’t have to go out. Prices were reasonable for most items & they had some decent offers eg 3 meat items for £10. Total spend £40.45.

Hba1c is now 50 down from 56 🤗 nurse said below 53 is good & next test in 6 months. Aim is to get below the ideal of 48.  Must stop eating cake 🤦‍♀️ Non diabetic is 42 from what I have read. Don’t think I will get that low as I am still eating some carbs & a treat every now and again. Carrot cake was half price so it would have been rude not to buy it 🙄

  • We had -7 last night, we're averaging -3 at the moment. Think if I was commuting, I wouldn't be as happy with the weather!

Fantastic news about your score. I think if you were to make cakes / treats at home, you could get it down, but it's time consuming.

Co-op is good, conveniently situated usually too. The best thing shops have done is 3 meat for £10 as they are varied.

Thanks SW even 60 is not that high compared to some I have read about so well done you 🤗

MF I couldn’t cope with it that cold all the time. Whilst it was freezing yesterday I don’t think it got anywhere near -7. Am fed up with it now though. Quick walk with the dog in the morning. The pond was totally frozen and all the birds were stood on top of the ice 😆

Worked until 3pm then the sun was out so another longer dog walk in the afternoon. Long sleeve top, jumper, hooded fleece, thermal lined coat, scarf & gloves, fleece hood & thermal hood on coat up too, plus 2 pairs of socks 🥶 The dog was most perplexed by her favourite large puddle being frozen and she couldn’t break through the ice 😆

The paint I ordered should arrive today. I have been looking at the latest every thing £5 deal from mse newsletter and have a few items in my basket. I am going to wait until the weekend and then decide if I really “need” them. I could do with an extra jumper and new socks but postage makes it not such a good deal

The brighter starts are starting to cheer me up again. Doggy makes me laugh! Let's hope she can splash about soon.  In a few days hopefully this chilly weather will go. Well done on the walking in the cold, I'm too much of a wimp!!! Well done on the £5 deal hope you bought some nice bits. Wishing you a good Friday.

  • It's a picture perfect view with the snow. Oddly enough I wear jeggings, long vest and short sleeve loosely knitted jumper when I go out. Provided I have my good coat on and a pair of boots on I'm fine. If we go out out, to a forest or something, then I add a long sleeve top and pair of trousers. My friends up here have said I adapted to the temperatures quickly, they bundle up like marshmallow man 🤫
    - sorry for hijacking!

The pond would have made a great photo 😃

Hope your paint does arrive and you're up for doing a little the weekend.

Am I missing much by not reading the newsletter 🙈

The dog is nearly 4 ! She is supposed to be settling down by now! Most of the time she’s great but still goes crazy on occasion. She went batty on our walk & started zooming around & nearly knocked an older guy over 😞then last night running & jumping at DS’s gf. Bit like Jekyll & Hyde. ☹️ Not fun. Then it’s like the adrenaline has burned off & she’s back to her normal lovely gentle self.

Woke around 3am from a strange dream I can’t remember, feeling upset & palpitations. Took a while to settle. I have just fed the dog & got a cup of decaf tea & back in bed so hopefully I will get some more sleep now.

    Plans for today
    walk the dog
B - sausage burger, egg, bubble & squeak
    L - pulled pork wrap
    D - chicken curry

Babs I’m surprised you don’t look at the weekly email as it does have some good deals plus latest best buys, bank accounts, switching deals etc. I don’t subscribe just dip in & out when I feel like it.

  • Just back from our walk. The pond is starting to defrost but lots of birds still stood on the ice 😆 It’s meant to be 1 degree today feeling like -4 in the wind 🥶 but forecast for a tropical 8 to 10 degrees tomorrow 🤗
