Getting the carbs right is hard. The diabetes clinic will have some great useful advice and the dieticians look at your lifestyles and will help. I hope doggie settles. You stick to your guns ok. Dark starts are horrid they will soon go. We are lucky aocording to today's news no snow so far.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • Awake early again. Will get up and feed the dog at 5am and get a cup of tea (decaf) which should help me fall back to sleep.

Was fairly productive yesterday but also a fairly chilled day. Walked the dog in the rain and she kept running back to one particular tree. Was starting to get cross with her then realised someone had put slices of bread on the end of branches! Probably to feed the birds/ squirrels when it was icy. Sent her do-lally! She is very food oriented. I enticed her away with a piece of cheese 😆We continued our walk with some recall training then slipped the lead back on and walked back via the roads on the pavement as it was getting too slippy for me with the wet grass & mud. Only saw one other person at a distance while we were out. It was quite a warm day despite the rain so the heating was off until 4pm 🤗

Home & rested. Fry up for breakfast 😋 Then hoovered downstairs, tidied the living room and washed down the fireplace & large over mantle mirror. Sat and cut up some Christmas cards with pinking shears to make into tags while watching the film remake of Wonder Woman. Nothing like the old series! Was an easy watching sat afternoon film 😁 Put the rest of the cards into the recycling.

Today I will finish sewing the net curtain and start packing away a few things from the living room (family photos etc) ready for when we eventually sell the house. I brought down 2 smaller plastic boxes with lids from the loft last week and I have been saving bubble wrap for years 😆 knew it would come in handy one day!

  • Nice sunny morning for dog walk today. Lots of bulbs coming up and snowdrops flowering ☺️

I have finished sewing the net curtain for the spare room and hung it up. Done a bit of shredding and packed 2 small boxes in the living room with photo frames and DS’s trophy’s etc.

I am thinking of cancelling my green bin. It is £46.14 for the year and my neighbour usually goes halves with the cost but he has decided to order his own bin instead as we may be moving. I’m not sure I will use it enough to even half fill it once a month. The collection is once a fortnight.  If I cancel mine I could maybe offer him half to use his instead.

Well that’s another weekend over. DS’s gf cooked a roast chicken dinner and surprised me by doing some for me too. It was lovely to have someone else cook for me ☺️

Weighed in this morning and have lost another 1lb this week. Thats a stone since March 🤗

I have decided to phone the bin company tomorrow & cancel the renewal. Shouldn't be much gardening needs doing this year. Have also found a mini garden incinerator with hand shovel for £10 with free delivery. The shredder is not working properly and it will take weeks to shred the whole box of statements etc so I will burn them one evening.

That's definitely a quicker way of disposing papers, done it a few times and the ash is good for the garden.

Nice little saving on the bin and I'm sure the neighbour would be ok with sharing. If you don't move then an alternative option can be done.

Congratulations for losing another lb 🤗

  • I walked the dog this morning before work. Then phoned the green bin company and they wanted £12 to cancel my garden waste collection and collect my bin! ... unless next door wanted my bin. I had a chat with the neighbours and they were happy to have mine instead of a new one delivered so that saved me £12. 🤗 They also said if I had any bits to get rid of in future I can put it in theirs. I offered to give them half but they said no to money 😊

Been out again with the dog & DS’s gf for a walk. The rain that was forecast hasn’t arrived. Having chicken for tea. Not sure what with yet.

That's a bit cheeky and thank goodness your neighbour has taken it on.

    That’s what I thought too 😆

Its blowing a gale and raining this morning. Will walk the dog later, work from home 9-3 then I plan to go shopping at Aldi. Have lost track of the shopping budget so I will try & sort that later.

  • I agree with MF on the eating enough. You don't seem to each much. Are you eating enough protein? Just some thoughts...
