Have rested for most of the day today. Took the radiator cover apart by removing a few screws with the drill and put the two halves in the shed for now.DS pulled back the rest of the carpet & it is mostly good floorboards & then laid it back down again. I have ordered floor paint in a soft grey and a new rug. Job over next few days is to start taking up the gripper & filling any holes / cracks with paintable filler. I can put up the dog room divider to keep her off while I go along each wall, then put the carpet back until I’m ready to paint.I will chop & bag the underlay to go to the tip. I think the floor will need 2 coats which I will do standing or sitting with a long handled roller. No need to sand with this paint but will need to scrub the boards clean. Might try my long handled garden brush, otherwise might not get back up again 😆 Should save money by not sanding. May need a varnish after but it is meant to be hardwearing, scratch resistant etc & many reviews say it is, so will see how it goes.Costs so far
wall paint £24
floor paint £33.98
flexible paintable filler £2.29
radiator paint £6.99
sundries = masking tape /rollers / paintbrushes £5.59
5 tip runs = petrol £10I’m not counting the sofa & rug as they have been bought from birthday / xmas money saved up & I will be taking them with me.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

That's great news about the floor and how you are planning to do it sounds like a lot less effort. The budget looks good.
No garden string left to tie the underlay? Cutting it is a lot of hard work, a very sharp blade and doing it outside is quicker and easier, actually you could probably use your saw on it 😁 DS and GF hold either end, you chop and repeat until smaller.
Your spends for carry forward definitely can't be counted and will be nice in your new home.

Thanks Babs. I have run out of string but you have just made me think & I could just roll it up & tape it. 😁
I will book another tip run for next weekend to take underlay, divan bed base (chopped up) old headboard (held together with tape 😆) garden lounger & anything else I can find!Forgot to add stain spray to list of expenses £6.95 for kitchen ceiling0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

If you have big bins for normal house waste, not roadside big bag collections, you may be able to filter a few things through that, if you have space. We have done a few disposals that way too.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2

Yes I have big bins 😉 may give that a go.Had an early night & just about to get up and feed the dog. Quite a few things I need to do this week after work- go to the range for wood glue £2.99. Just need a small amount for one board that looks like it was ripped up & snapped who knows why. Will not be seen once stuck down, filled, painted & rug over the top 😁
- Find stashed xmas cards, buy 2nd class stamps. I think I bought 24 stamps last year for all cards to relatives & friends. Last 2nd class post date is fri 18 Dec
- Buy lightbulbs to replace blown ones in kitchen ceiling fan etc before go on the market after xmas. Need one now for the outside light on dog patio so might as well get the others at the same time.-Take clothes back to mat Alan for refund
- go to Dr & use blood pressure machine & then go online for medication request. Get shopping in aldi at the same time as it’s next door to gp surgery0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Another super organised DIY-er! I can see you smashing this before Xmas. Erm, already posted my cards 2nd class since reading somewhere there may be less postal staff due to flu!
Kept thinking 'Who is this Alan you are referring to?' and only just twigged it! Ha!"...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

Looks like a good plan for this week!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Your situation is different I know but I had lots to do to get ready for sale and I was convinced I needed to do more but the EA said to leave it as I wouldn't get any more as the area dictated a certain price based on overall floor space and number of bedrooms. I painted the hallway and 2 rooms white, deep cleaned, decluttered, but left the kitchen and bathroom as was (awful) The house sold in a week for over the asking price. Maybe you don't need to do as much as you think?
Just a thought. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

You are probably right but most of it has been decluttering & just freshening up / cleaning. The “dog” carpet is a constant pain in my neck & back and I was planning to rip it up anyway. Even if it gives me a few months of not having to hoover off the dog hair 🐶😆 The “dog” sofa was the same. Mostly it has been getting rid of our excess clutter !Went shopping after work & spent £4.98 in the range on wood glue & a roller, paid from household bills account. £2.15 in b&m for 5 packs instant curry noodles & a bag of pasta. The card factory £5.64 for 4 special Christmas cards (to both of you, special friend etc) & 2 birthday cards, paid from xmas/ birthday fund. I found 4 packs of Christmas cards in the cupboard this morning which I bought in last years sales which are for other family & friends and a card I had bought for my DF so it’s a good job I checked before setting off.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

So much going round in my head I can’t sleep so I’ll write it here to try and settle my thoughts 🤪🤯
✅mon - wood glue, roller
tue - food shop, pop in GP next door to aldi & get a blood pressure test, then apply for meds online at home. Apparently this is the new process according to the Dr receptionist whose word is the law 😉

Start lifting gripper & underlay for tip run on Saturday
EDIT - have just read that you can use radiator paint on wood. I have one more radiator to paint & there is loads left so will give this a try on the architraveFri - chop up bed base for tip run on Saturday. Use my new saw 🤩 Lift up last of gripper/ underlay
