Just lost long post. Sorry so tired will have to summarise 😆
thu
DS & gf took dog out for a few hours.- painted the radiator & top half of walls above dado rail in dog room.- Filled cracks in kitchen walls. DS & gf loaded mattress 2 & old huge computer monitor & various bits & bobs into my car
today
- walked the dog
- sanded cracks in kitchen walls & wiped down ready for painting
- returned ceiling paint to wilco £12 swapped for heavy duty packing boxes & tape £10 and £2 refund.- dropped off junk at the tip
- collected jigsaw from b n q £25 recommended by DF for chopping up armchair, sofa & bed base. New sofa arrives tomorrow.- bought milk & washing up liquid on the way home. Managed to resist chocolate 😇- painted the rest of the kitchen to match the diner “dog room”
- more decluttering & sorting in utility room.Am now laid on the sofa and don’t intend to move until bed time 😂 except to answer the door when food arrives. Have decided I’m too knackered to cook & it is nearly payday0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

My goodness Skinty, that's a lot over two days, no wonder you're flopped on the sofa!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1

Sounds a lot but mostly driving around picking stuff up or dropping stuff off (at the tip) with some decorating thrown in. 😆
The paint went on really easily, antique cream instead of lime green on the top half of the walls only. It was a tin of crown I bought ages ago when they were 3 for 2 and covered really well without needing to cut in too carefully, unlike the lime green from before, which I never liked and which was a nightmare to cut in trying to get straight lines again the coving.Fell asleep on the sofa after dinner. Codine is my friend tonight and I am hobbling somewhat but the main aim will be achieved by getting the kitchen / diner freshened up ready for sale. Just a few bits to finish in there tomorrow & pull back carpet to check flooring. Then I will sand & fill cracks in wall under bay window outside & use my new saw to chop up furniture 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Wow. Do you hire yourself out?
I have the paint for the bedroom furniture yet still haven't done it yet! Maybe I should aim to get it done by Xmas.... you are motivating me to re-focus on this place again!

This morning I am resting. The sofa delivery man has just phoned to say they will arrive within the next hour.I have discovered that n wide do a family deposit mortgage & am considering borrowing the money to give DS & his gf and decreasing the term to 5 years. It looks affordable & once they have gone the house will be huge & so much easier to arrange viewings etc. If I can sell within a year it shouldn’t cost too much in interest. Will be able to stop rushing to make it marketable. No arrangement fee & no ERC. Will get Est agent round next week for valuation then approach N wide to discuss0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Don't sell yourself short, it's not easy to do active things without having a knock-on effect to your health.
The colour scheme sounds great, enough to show what a home looks like without being too personal and excluding some buyers.
Have fun with the saw!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
New sofa looks fab. They did manage to get it in the front door & down the narrow hall 😆
Sanded & filled the cracks in the front bay and then chopped up the old sofa. The jigsaw was amazingly easy & made short work of it. Worth every penny of £25. What else can I chop up next 😆 Sofa is now packed into the tardis ready for tip run tomorrow morning. Then I will finish the few bits of painting in the kitchen & paint the front bay & that is it for now. Back to work on Monday for a rest! Will book 2 more tip runs for next weekend. Still to go ... reclining deckchair, old headboard, bed base which needs chopping up 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

That's great! Delivery people have picked up a lot of tricks over the years.
Power tools are addictive, wait until you try an electric screwdriver! Chop everything, makes it easier to fit in your car and you can do less trips 😉Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Can’t sleep this morning. Fed the dog at 5am, will get up & walk her soon once it starts to get light.Have been going over and over the figures for a remortgage to give DS a deposit. It seems the best way forward so they do not have to come with me to my new house and I can look for something that just suits me and doesn’t have to accommodate all of us. I am supposed to be downsizing after all & we are cramped in this house with all their stuff, so not sure how we would cope in a small 2 bed. Am scared of such a big financial commitment but it would only be short term until I sell mine. Trouble is what if it doesn’t sell ...
Weighed myself this morning and I have lost 2lb this week. Combination of being busy & no cake, chocolate or ice cream.Tip run at 10am. Will pop into Aldi on the way home & hopefully it will not be busy at that time on a Sunday. Will phone estate agent tomorrow.
Hair cut booked for Tuesday once lockdown ends, that will be paid for from household bills account. Car insurance renewal arrived and this year it has gone up by £1 !! Will ring them this week to discuss mileage, not sure if I can get a refund for reduced miles due to covid, just haven’t got around to contacting them. It says on the letter that you can contact them any time before the policy ends.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

It will sell, your home is beautiful, have confidence. You're not taking every penny out of it and will have wiggle room with negotiations.
Double check there isn't an admin fee for mid-term changes. Personally I would consider doing the new reduced miles for the new policy as the old one should have been changed months ago. Sometimes less miles means higher risk eg under about 6k, under 3k is very high.
Congratulations on the weightloss!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
