  • Be careful what you wish for SW 😆 how does the saying go? May you live in interesting times ! I would much rather be chillin at home being lazy 😁.

Had a call from gp yesterday & my cholesterol has dropped significantly but my hba1c has risen. 😕 So my weight & cholesterol are going in the right direction. Retest in 2 months.

Feeling really tired yesterday. Walked the dog. Worked till 3pm. Had a snooze. Walked the dog again. Had dinner. Fell asleep. Went to bed. Eat, sleep, repeat 😆.

All food from stores. Porridge and banana for breakfast, baked potato with tuna mayo and salad for lunch, sausage and bean casserole for dinner with roasted butternut squash.

I have decided to see if I can work today then take the rest of the week off. That will give me time to do 3 tip runs, we can book 3 a week mon to sun but the last appointment of the day is 3pm so I can’t go when I’m working. I will also rip up the dog carpet and check out the floorboards. I am also going to phone the estate agents & book a couple of valuations.

  • Takes time for the body to balance itself, two have gone in the right direction that leaves the third to follow 😉

Fingers crossed you get the time off, that will allow plenty of time to do your tasks 🤗

  • Managed to get the time off 🤗

    Plans for Wednesday to Sunday
    -Walk the dog
    -Three tip runs -
    1. Mattress, old tv stand, footstool, cd shelf unit wed
    2. mattress, bed base fri
    3. sofa & armchair (chopped up to fit) Sunday.
I think it will still work out cheaper to take the stuff myself rather than pay someone.
-Buy some flexible paintable mastic for small cracks in the wall /paint outside under the bay window & patch in with leftover paint.
-Paint Kitchen ceiling - we had a leak a few years ago which was fixed but & it has discoloured the white ceiling. Don’t want buyers thinking we still have a leak.
    -Finish painting kitchen walls
    -Lift dog room carpet

  • Yay!
You need a stain stop paint or very thick paint to stop the mark showing through.
It's definitely cheaper doing tip runs as councils charge for bulky collections and only allow so much at a time.

List looks good, we will all be encouraging you 🤗

Busy day but manageable. Walked the dog this morning then once the school run traffic had gone I headed into town. Managed to park in the one hour free road right next to the high street. Used the nearest cashpoint to unlock my credit card pin that I forgot when I tried to pay for my mot the other week 😁

It was v quiet usually the shops would be heaving at this time of year. Will probably be busier after 2nd dec once lockdown ends unless we go into tier 3.

Bought pink to white matt emulsion for the kitchen ceiling and a stain blocker spray in wilko, small tin of radiator paint and a new bathroom tidy in the range and paintable flexible mastic for the front bay from screw fix after checking online for the cheapest prices.

I used the white ceiling stain blocker spray when I got home and cannot now see where the stain was! May get away with not painting the ceiling after all 😁 Will check it again in better daylight in the morning. May return the paint for a refund. Have turned off the kitchen radiator ready for painting it tomorrow.

Trip to the tip took 45 minutes and only 15 minutes of that was unloading the car. Mattress 1, tv stand, various bits of unused plastic from cupboards & old cd shelf in the boot and large pouffe/ footstool strapped in the passenger seat. My tiny car is like a tardis 😆 Got lots of help from the council tip men

Painting tomorrow. DS & gf taking the dog to the forest.

  • Sounds like you've got it all under control and will smash through your tasks.
Main thing with the stain block is to not see where that was and how it matches the rest of your ceiling. Also does the ceiling look as fresh as the rest of the kitchen.

Small cars are fabulous, I don't think people realise how much they actually hold 🤗

  • Very impressed, you are super organised, and will get it all sorted soon. I'm sure you will be well chuffed with the end result.
