FVD you can do whatever you want. You can try it and if it isn't a good fit look for another job. I took 15 months off of work, lived off of my savings and a couple of p/t jobs for about 6 months that paid me less than £600 a month. Then decided to go back to my field but in a much lower position and intend to retrain. It's all ours for the taking!
angelpye, keep it, go on!
feeling rotten with oh's coldso have just been asleep for hours!

Hi Saturday Savers,
Woke up at Crazy o'Clock & lay there overthinking stuff......making me feel both tired AND stressed, but was fine once I got up & got cracking. So today's money saving efforts:
*Bought coffees out, but snuck in contraband home baked mini muffins thus saving money & keeping dieting halos bright & shiny.
*Mr f found 2 fab shirts (1 from designer range) on sale rail at Debenhams. £21 for both. He assessed all his clothes when he got home & reckons he'll only need 2 items & a new pair of DMs for the rest of this year :-)
*Grocery shopping came in on budget, helped by finding that this week's cat meat offer at Wilko's was our cat's favourite.
*Only bought 1 item for myself - a magazine - which was bought with my 'Personal Spends' so no impact at all on the budget.
*mr f was disappointed to 'win' the lowest points value on the current nectar card promotion (Minimum spend £10, everyone wins minimum of 200 points but there are some much bigger ones going up to 5000). When we got home, there was a Sainsbury's letter on the doormat with a coupon for an additional 300 points, so he didn't feel so hard done by!
*Started driving into petrol station....swerved back out again....diesel 2p more expensive than in nearby town. Those 2ps add up.
*Oh...& making that packed lunch to take with us today DID keep us off the panninis & fries. Deslite being desperate for another coffee, we waited till we got home.
Am by the fire now & intend to have a cosy evening.
Love to all,

Thanks FatVonD, it was loose on the floor away from anyone and people did see me pick it up - slightly embarrassing but I just shrugged my shoulders and waved it around as though I was checking for someone to claim and when no one did stuck it in my pocket. I guess someone could have come back later and asked for it at reception which was what I was feeling guilty about.
FatVonD, I gave up my job that paid pretty well for what it was and have never looked back. 10 year career I worked really hard for but I had stopped loving and was making me ill. I am skint but I only want a simple life and once these debts are paid it will all be fine! Go for it and good luckHappiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Evening
Quite a productive day really. I always get lots done when I make a list - feel more accountable.
Angelpye - I wouldn't worry about the fiver. Some you win, some you lose. I lost a fiver out of my pocket whilst out once, and I begrudge that way less than the tenner someone stole from me at work. Money is too difficult to trace back to its owner really so enjoy it.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Bob, I think should the worst happen we'll be ok, DH is 1 of 6 but 4 are older than him (all in their 70's), I think DD will take control - she and son have a great relationship (despite the age gap) and DH's brothers and sisters are amazing too.
Night all x

WTG Bob and FVD, but Cheery Daff-the extra kit Kat....happy days especially when I'm supposed to be doing sugar free Feb and failing miserably:(
((Hugs)) to everyone that needs them at the minute. Expecting to take poorly kitty for his final journey at the beginning of the week, it's hit my mums health aswell but she has insisted on sleeping downstairs with him. My daughter is going over to stay this weekend. Meanwhile, poorly cat has been open to visitors, totally enjoying the attention and stuffing his face with his favourite chew sticks, favourite cat food and chicken:)
What makes it worse is one of my cats is booked for her final journey this week, two cats in one week is going to kill me, hence trying to keep some sort of routine.
Plan to do paperwork I wanted to do yesterday, if I crack this and get it in on Monday, I will be happy....and clean the bathroom:)
Onwards and upwards...have a great day everyone x
So sorry Happykitty it is very very sad to think of two loved pets going at once. Hugs to you." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

When I was a teenager I saved up loads of babysitting money to buy myself some clothes (my mum didn't get us much due to various circumstances) and I dropped it. I remember a guy bending down behind me and saying 'thanks very much little girl' and thought nothing of it as I walked away... until I realised I had lost my money. People can be awful can't they? Stealing from you at work is unbelievable!Happiness is wanting what you have...0

Today I have
- Booked two lots of train travel to London on two different websites as there was price difference. Got one for £20 return on a super advanced the other was more at £27 annoying as it was for the same journey.
- Returned part of a online order and re ordered as I needed a size smaller :-) Free returns
- I have signed up for a Prime trial, which I have put to good use already ordered and got free delivery a birthday gift and DD has watched 2 films so far, I will see if it worth keeping, I have found in the last year that I have been paying for delivery as especially as friends and family are country wide.0 -
DMS, you mean when I lost my money? No, I lost it whilst I was out and when I retraced back to when I had last used the pocket I had it in...it was clear what had happened.
Still, I didn't learn from it, I put money in my pockets and leave my bag undone all the time...
The stealing from you at work comment was for crazy cat lady. Sorry for the confusionHappiness is wanting what you have...0
