Evening all
Well done on beating Mr Grabby!!
Well... what a week. I'm not sure it can be recounted, it was such a blur. Good but really long day out with the boss yesterday. I am not that great at this being on show for long stretches of time, I kind of prefer being able to sink into the train by myself and sleep and dribble all the way back home, not spend 3 hours networking! Plus side, limited expenses to reclaim as he reached in his pocket for everything.
Fingers crossed all of my efforts in the last 6 months will pay off. I know they have been noticed; its just capitalising on that really. Enough heavy lifting for this week anyway.
Going to borrow the random number generator list idea for tomorrow, to better motivate me. I will scroll back to see who to thank for that - Ally? I like the idea of just getting stuck into the thing that next comes up. Here goes.
- Empty dishwasher from early hours cycle. Put it on for deep clean (assuming have the sachet thing).
- Blitz kitchen
- Make bed up for paying guests
- Clean ensuite
- Hoover stairs
- Blitz my bedroom. Looks like its not just Dawns son that has a re-emergent teenage self, I might be one too!
- Take garden waste to tip if not too wet
- Enquire about phone cover. I drove over my phone; its pretty dead. Not sure what to do next - its been a bit of a nightmare without one this week.
- Make tentative plans for day out with DD in half term. Sadly waiting on a funeral date before I can fix it,
- Write paperwork for one work task
- Write paperwork for second work task
- Write paperwork for third work task
(I hope those don't come up in sequence!) - Sort out emails linked to charity activity
- Get some exercise
- Empty car
- Ironing. There is always ironing at the moment!
- Home makeover - do nails
- Just realised guests probably will require me to buy breakfast stuff. Juice/Milk. Maybe bread.
- Put work expenses in. Trying so hard to do this every week at the moment.
- Clean bathroom
- Make date to see friends
- Make date to see friend I need to borrow tool from.
- Go through one box from the not yet sorted out pile
- List chair on fb
- List clothes on ebay
- Look into monday to friday lodger site again
- Book cinema for night with DD at half term. Looking forward to seeing Hidden Voices with her. Have vouchers
- Post letters I've been carrying around for ages

A good day had, also managed
Clean bathroom
Bought 2 more 75p shampoos and got 200 Boots points
Rec'd 3 more comp prizes
Sold 3 items
Decluttered a few items
Paid coins into DS's bank a/c
Bob, I think should the worst happen we'll be ok, DH is 1 of 6 but 4 are older than him (all in their 70's), I think DD will take control - she and son have a great relationship (despite the age gap) and DH's brothers and sisters are amazing too.
Night all x

CLF, there's not much that anyone can do with your bank account number (unlike your card number), anyone you've ever sent a cheque to would have exactly the same information. The risk is all hers (in that her money can't be recalled if she paid by bank transfer and then you didn't send.)*
* I have learned this from the eBay board.
I'm afraid I disagree. During my time working for a High Street bank I saw all sorts of nasty criminal activities.
If you give someone a cheque and they chose to take your account details you have done nothing wrong.
If you tell someone your account details outwith a formal banking procedure and are defrauded some banks will make obtaining a refund very lengthy procedure because you have given the details away.
Some companies will permit you to set up a Direct Debit to them electronically online with the bare minimum of details, no signature required. While you are protected by the Direct Debit guarantee it's still a bit of a faff.

You all make me so tired with your plans and achievements.
WTG Bob and FVD, but Cheery Daff-the extra kit Kat....happy days especially when I'm supposed to be doing sugar free Feb and failing miserably:(
((Hugs)) to everyone that needs them at the minute. Expecting to take poorly kitty for his final journey at the beginning of the week, it's hit my mums health aswell but she has insisted on sleeping downstairs with him. My daughter is going over to stay this weekend. Meanwhile, poorly cat has been open to visitors, totally enjoying the attention and stuffing his face with his favourite chew sticks, favourite cat food and chicken:)
What makes it worse is one of my cats is booked for her final journey this week, two cats in one week is going to kill me, hence trying to keep some sort of routine.
Plan to do paperwork I wanted to do yesterday, if I crack this and get it in on Monday, I will be happy....and clean the bathroom:)
Onwards and upwards...have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning. Sorry to hear your news Happy Kitties x my plans for the day seem pretty petty in comparison
Have done meal plan for week and only need to get a few extras - less than 10 items :money: planning to use my £16 wombles recipts to pay for it and treat us to some extras we wouldn't normally get seeing as they are free
Need to get ready in a minute as meeting dd and going swimming to the pool I joined so free easily saving £8 on going to the public pool :money:
All meals from stores. Grabbed rubber beef out of freezer for stir fry. Also need to get joint of pork out for tomorrow. Oh & madam can have a slice of lo banoffee pie brought back from bff's last night - we both had 1/2 each of what was left
go for a run today - haven't been for a week
just me and madam today as oh has a day of football. Home activities today I think after swimming. Sure that'll include a film and popcorn after dinner
Going to treat us to a bottle of wine using wombled receipts - oh the decadence!
List a few things on fleabay. Going to try to up my game on this in Feb. This is my month! :rotfl:
ok that's all! Have a great day xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all :coffee:
Happykitties - I feel so very sad reading your post about the cats. Lots of love to you and your mum.
Dawn - enjoy the time without the big mutt. Pleased that the boiler was ok in the end.
Bob - Once Upon a Time is great if you know your fairy tales. It's basically the idea of the modern world colliding with a load of fairy stories. I had to read Rumplestiltskin again last week to remind myself of it.
FvD - Well done beating Mr Grabby :j
Not the best night of sleep last night. I woke up a few times coughing, but I'm up and I don't have to go to work today so that's good. I did a lot of my stuff last night so I don't have so much to do today.
Plans include:check banking and PAD
clean the bathroom
do a batch cook
training
tutoring later on
freeze leftover BNS soup
grocery shopping (make a list and stick to it)
get ds to football
spend time knitting or crocheting
try not to stress
Think that'll do me for the day - have a good one everyone :TNot giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
