Morning all
Haven't got much MS stuff planned today, having some family time before I go away tomorrow with work for the week.
- sold my iPod box (unbelievable what people buy) and parcelling it up using recycled envelope.
- received my Muscle Foods order yesterday- split up the chicken portions into separate bags. Ordered through Groupon and cashback site. Not sure whether it saves you much money, will work it out.
- went shopping yesterday got some YS stuff and a top I desperately needed for my work trip reduced by £9. Used my Morrisons loyalty card £5 voucher.
- going to the cinema today, using gift voucher from Christmas and taking Aldi popcorn!
- FPL and entering loads of valentines comps.
I'll be away now for a week abroad with work.

Morning all!
HappyKitties that sucks but, having had cats for many years and having had some run over, one that went missing (but came back after a week) and some PTS I'd say the last option is always the easiest. At least you have a chance to spoil them and you know they went peacefully. For one very old cat my vet came round to do the deed in the back garden where the cat was lying under one of the trees so he didn't even have the stress of a journey to the vets. Stay strong
Today I really need to do the SORN and job applications.
Tonight we have eldest DSS and his GF coming round for a curry. We will go down the takeaway route but are planning to cook our own rice and just mix in one takeaway one and we'll cut up the naan bread in a basket so we don't all need one each to keep it cheaper. We're ordering less curries than most people are probably used to and more vegetable dishes. It's still an expense we can't afford to do too often but it's not often they visit and DH wants it to be 'special'.
Not too much else to do, I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen yesterday and DH has just done the sitting room so I've got no excuse not to do the SORN and job applications! (Though I will probably find one)
I have some stuff ending on eb@y tomorrow, no bids but watchers on most things. Fingers crossed they all bid.

Hi all,
Not much happening here.
I did my food shop yesterday as needed some bits anyway. I made a dairy free mushroom stroganoff last night and it was not bad! Although I have noticed when I eat so many mushrooms I seem to get tummy ache. Felt like an achievement as usually friday would be a treat night, often a ready made meal from W@itrose (how sad is that??)with a glass of wine before a few beers at the pub, so the fact I cooked and made something I wouldn't normally make was a win. Using up mushrooms that had no plans for made it a double win. I didn't go to the pub either. But I did get myself some YS flowers...double sad
Today I am using my gym membership with DD and yesterday I went to a class, swim and sauna so I am on target for now.
Survey experiment going ok and have made £17.50 this week plus sw@gbucks total of 1300 - once I get 2500 I get a bonus of 500. I think I have been lucky this week with time and types of surveys so don't expect it to continue like this. All helps though and hoping it will mean I will have a few vouchers for the present budget over time.
Sun is peaking through today! Amazing the difference that makes.
Have a fab day!Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -

Many thanks everyone for your thoughts and kind word they really are appreciated.
Checked in on my mum and poorly cat, my mum doing better and poorly cat really enjoying the last of his time in the lap of luxury and lots of chicken!
My poorly cat not so good, she has scratched her eyes again, this time her good eye and had caught the inner eyelid. Was brave, managed to grab her claws and all, got her meds down her and cream into her eye that the vet had given me more for her left eye. It really is time to say goodbye to this little one.
To take my mind of things, decided to attack the paperwork and letter I really needed to do. How come once you get started you can't stop!!
Draft all done and sent for my daughter and mum to read over. Really had to drag myself away from it in the end. But back on schedule with it now.
Off to take my daughter to her driving lesson in a minute and then back home for a tidy.
Was pleased this morning, went to B@@ts to get the extra points with the shampoo offer, 2 shampoos £1.50, got 200 points, used some extra coupons and somehow ended up with an extra £6 worth of points. Will save these.
FVD I love reading ur adventures with Mr Grabby man and I do enjoy reading everyone's posts.
Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sorry to hear about your poorly kitties HKDawn the streets of London certainly aren't paved with gold, where I work they are mostly paved with other people's vomit, wee and phlegm!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I used to spend a lot of time there for workIn the posh bits so pavements weren't too bad to be fair. Come to think of it, we get the same here, especially after Friday and Saturday nights
My list for today looks like this:
Packed and posted 3 ebay items
Listed some more
Went to sales unit while out, took some new stock in
Popped into Savers, as I noticed the other day that they had one of the moisturisers I like on offer. Still there! £9.99 for a box containing both day and night cream, expensive brand usuallyBought some as I am getting a bit low.
Cleaned loft conversion bedroom and ensuite while DS is away
Also cleaned 2 flights of stairs - phew! My vacuum cleaner is one of those old Dysons that is built like a Sherman tank and weighs about the same, so it isn't easy to haul up and down all those stairs. When it eventually dies I will buy a lightweight one, but it seems to go on forever :rotfl:
French bread (AKA leftover slightly stale bread :rotfl:) pizzas made yesterday for lunch Still some left!
Must make that apple crumble I was threatening the other dayDone, included part packets of flaked and ground almonds that had been lurking in the freezer for far too long, and a part pack of other nuts that were lurking in the fridge, so that will make the crumble a bit more interesting
And check fridge to see what else needs using or freezing A pack of leeks bought on offer from Lidls last weekend, and some fresh ginger that DD2 gave me - her OH had bought it as he wanted to make gingerbread men with little GD, not knowing that you use powdered ginger for that :rotfl:I sliced the leeks finely, didn't bother to blanch, and cut the ginger into 2cm chunks, it is easy to peel (use a teaspoon) and grate from frozen when you want to use it. Didn't blanch that either
OH is cooking tonight (he doesn't know it yet :rotfl:) He does now
Received a 300 bonus point voucher from Sainsburys in the post this morning
Must do a bit of paperwork / record keeping for business
Dog walk as soon as I have drunk my coffeeDone
OH has just been stung by a wasp, would you believe, in February  It was on one of the logs he brought in for the fire. Now swatted, found the Anthistan for OH's poorly finger.
Kettle on stove for coffee later, glass of wine for now

SORN done! :T After keep putting it off it took about a minute to do, it was simple
I've also applied for the garden centre job (for me, will apply for DS on Monday.) They wanted a list of jobs going back to school leaving age  Really not an option for me on account of being a dinosaur so I fudged it :rotfl:
I cleaned up all the rubbish that gets thrown/blown onto the grass verge out the front and around the back of the house and found 28p, not quite up to Bob's calibrate of wombling but we all have to start somewhere!
Talking of which, I got 45 wombled clubcard points added (from a total of 3 receipts) and then sent DH with 3 more for another 24 points :T

Hi all,
Just found a fiver. Found in reception of the leisure centre and can't decide if I should have handed it in? Feeling slightly guilty...Previously I have found 2 x £10 notes and handed them in at the college I was at. Any thoughts?Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Angelpye, I say keep it, if it was in a wallet that was somehow traceable then I'd say different but a loose fiver will just end up in someone else's pocket.
I have a first interview on Monday at the garden centre :T I can do this, can't I? There's no law that says you have to stick with a career you've had enough of just because it pays better, is there?
It's only 20 hours per week but if I cash in my tiny pension to pay off some debts then my outgoings will be less and I can try to get other stuff up and running to make some extra on top. The hours would also mean more opportunity for cooking from scratch/YS shopping.
I am ridiculously excited, I could have a whole new different life!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Ooh good luck FVD - yes, you can leave a career you've had enough of (I did)
And to be honest, as you are a contractor, you can always go back to it at a later date if you want..0
