CLF, there's not much that anyone can do with your bank account number (unlike your card number), anyone you've ever sent a cheque to would have exactly the same information. The risk is all hers (in that her money can't be recalled if she paid by bank transfer and then you didn't send.)*

    * I have learned this from the eBay board.

    Thanks :)

I am going to pass her the details for an account that I barely use too

EDIT: sorry Ally just seen your warning too... must have a think

    Morning all :j

Thanking all for sentiments for my teenage self, I did eventually get over it and can only hope he was desperate at the time.

Apologies DMS for my confusion! :o Impressed with the gift searching - this is something I want to aim for in my long term plan. Second hand or experiences only.

LA - I think the older generation are still of the mindset that loyalty pays but they are fortunate to have you. Always touched by how much you guys do for loved ones, I don't live near any family and think its lovely :)

Happy Kitties...examples of kindness in the world is always such a gift. Hope your mum is getting through ok and you are taking care of yourself too.

Last night I did my meal plan properly for the first time in...oh forever!

    Today I am listing, so:
    *change and wash all bedding
    *pet related cleaning
    *dust and vacum
    *clean bathroom
*simple roast today with homemade crumble and soya custard for after
    *tackle the clothes mountain
    *little bit of work

I am sure there will be pottering too and a few games with DD. Will see if she fancies chilling with a film later but first need to motivate her to tidy her room.

None of that is particularly MS except the cooking but tidy house keeps me on track with organised budget. :T:T:T

    Have a lovely Sunday!

    Morning all

Sorry for being AWOL on and off. RL just a bit busy at the mo. Also OH doesn't seem to be as well as he was... hoping he'll perk up after the holiday but if not I think we'll need to cart him back to the docs. It's subtle but he's not sleeping as well, forgetful, snappy, a few old food issues creeping back in...

Not been very dfw here as had a takeaway last night. Took a chicken out and it just didn't defrost at all! (House too cold perhaps!). Also went to the local DIY place. Dangerous times. Came out with a large bag of bird seed, a pack of seed modules and a turfing iron :o

    but here's today's plan:
    • B/L/D from stores. Having a nice half price ys free range chicken that I picked up when getting milk!
    • Reconcile budget sheet
    • Work as normal - done
    • Wash on
    • Heating off all day as OH not in - done
    • Downloaded an app that limits my phone apps so no Facebook idleness - done
    • Crochet
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Run at lunchtime - done
Small list but can never get much done on a work day :/

    Have a good one all

  • Afternoon all (I sound like a back in the day Bobby on the beat) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have had quite a productive morning
    * one load of washing done and on the radiators
    * been out for cat food which I forgot to do last night. Picked up frozen chickens for £1.50 each, but both my mum and I are running out of freezer space. One chicken defrosting for me and the cats:D, daughter is a vege.
Also picked up more chew sticks (a firm favourite) for my mum's poorly cat
*sorted out and disinfected the litter trays. Cats showed their displeasure of their 'human slave' having a lie in of 30 mins this morning by weeing in my dustpan:eek:.
To be fair, if it's my 17year old cat that has had to start using the litter tray, even though she hates it......her aim isn't the best:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    * hoping to get paperwork sent tonight, will be really happy if I can get this completed.
*dishwasher emptied and slowly filling up again
    * many thanks for your kind thoughts angelpye trying not to do too much as I will start to get tissue breakdown and my autoimmune goes into overdrive.
*LaE I would be well chuffed about the boots, something you wanted and what a fantastic saving:T
Right off to have a cuppa and breather before off to my mums later
Have a good day everyone x

Question for gardening gurus amongst you..... Whilst sorting yesterday I found my lovely seed tub (well a repurposed washing powder tub;)) with loads of unopened seeds in. They are all out of date, some dating back to 2009 :o will I just need to bin them or is there any chance they will germinate (they are dry) long shot I know but I'd obviously rather not bin. TIA

I'd give them a try, haven't they managed to grow plants that have been extinct for millions of years from seeds that have been found?

Not too much to do today for me, I'm planning to:

Reheat leftover curry and veggies from last night for lunch.

Dinner tonight will be a roast dinner using the YS turkey slices, I have everything else in but will need to buy sausages to put in the stuffing.

DH is going to dye my hair for me in preparation for my interview. I already have a pack of £ shop dye.

I need to break the news to DS that I applied for the GC job for me instead of him, I'm not expecting this to go well as he had a meltdown yesterday when I couldn't turn the alarm off on his car when I moved it closer to home. He has a very short fuse but as my GP told me once (more to do with keeping my sanity than applying for jobs) I need to look after myself first because if I go down I take everyone with me.

I will help DS look for other jobs.

Keep an eye on my eb@y sales that are ending today and maybe re list and put up a couple more.

That's about it for me, have a good day all.

  • spent some time looking into the MA I am going to apply for, found some books to reserve at the library :) currently listening to a psychology podcast :) and discovered I should be able to get a 20% discount as I did my undergraduate degree at the same university :D I think I'm going to self fund and not take out a loan. Hopefully as planning to do it over 2 years I can spread the cost

For any that are more than 2-3 years old, I would probably sprinkle them over a seed tray so you can easily !!!!! out any that do germinate. However I'm sure that Foxgloves will have some excellent advice :)

    EDIT hahaha I can't write pr!ck out
