[QUOTEJust briefly going back to Eastenders is that Cindy,s son Stephen? (sorry im sad) rachael xx:D]

Ian didnt say Stephen, but ive read somewhere (mightve been here???) that someone thinks it is!![/quote]

That might have been my dd - she said it was his long lost son and at 11 she's too young to remember all that affair/snatched kids hooha and I'm too old to remebmer what happened yesterday :D . just asked dd who managed to tear herself away from her [STRIKE]nintendo[/STRIKE] sickbed but has only managed to confuse me more. I don't really watch it but wehn d tells me there's an interesting story line i do sometimes sit with her but then get al confused again. So the bloke who's living at pat's with all the kids ... is that wicksie but played by someone else?

Oven, recycling and cupboards done in the kitchen - will need to make some bread in a bit - there was plenty this morning but me and dd have been having a ToastFest

    Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them!
It's been a bit ot a mixed few days as my best friend [since we were 11] got the news on Friday that the mole she had removed a month ago was a melanoma. The specialist thinks they've caught it in time but she won't know for sure until this week. She's only just 40. Please keep your fingers crossed for her.
Other than the above the rest of the weekend was a good old style one. We took ourselves off to Worthing and spent a fab morning digging around in all the charity shops and pound shops down there..emerging with all sorts of bargains. Got some lovely hand made cards for 25p each. We even found a little cafe that did a yummy freshly cooked lunch and managed to feed all three of us for £16. In the afternoon we went to see the Rotten Romans [part of the Horrible History series] and it was fantastic. In the second half we had 3d glasses which was really weird!
Yesterday was spent catching up. Took full advantage of the weather and line dried two loads and then got them ironed in the afternoon.
Today I've put the bin out, BM is on and OH is making mushroom stroganoff for tea. Hope to start my next cross stitch cushion cover tonight but shall no doubt be sidetracked by my compulsive thriller once again!!!

I think someone on here was looking for silicone bakeware. Just had the Aldi email for Thursday and they have some at £2.99 each.

  • Afternoon Guys!

My friend left at lunch time and has helped me out so much this week. Loads of jobs done now, so that I dont have to worry. She even insisted on making me a tuna salad sarnie for lunch as OH wasnt getting back for another half hour. I cant believe after a free advert on Gumtree for 1 week that I have found somene so lovely, genuine and who can use own initiative to get stuff done. I keep waiting for someone to pinch me and wake me up. As she lives just round the corner, she has offered to do any extra hours or if I need looking after etc (if OH not here) she can always help out. I have just got to call or text her. She just seems so grateful and happy for eveything she has, dispite her being deaf....that she just makes me feel better about life.

Anyway, WM is on, DW has been emptied, numerous jobs around the house done, floors hoovered and mopped(sp), veggies done for dinner and house pretty ship shape. Toilet has also been scrubbed:p

OH was out fixing a friends computer and was given £20 a bottle of wine to say thanks, so that will be going in his Wii fund.

I managed to list over 40 books last week on Amazon and have sold 9 already. have made over £35 in profit so far. Listed 25 items on Ebay too....havent been able to sleep much:rolleyes: I am also decluttering again. Freecycled 4 big items last week including an Air-Con machine which we must have had 50 replies too.

Anyway, I must go and have a drink.

    Hugs to all.

i am so chuffed with myself. i usally phone a local chpa to collect rubbish for the tip. but i am learning to try and cut back. anyway i did 3 tip runs, drove in total 20 miles, took an hour to do the lot. and i've cleared everythign. best bit i've saved myself about £30 by doing it myself. i am mega chuffed.

i've also been out and mended the gaps in fence at bottom , as next doors puppy dog keeps digging his way into garden and shredding open our rubbish. and i've re-apinted some of the fence. it sunny and dry here, very windy still. so gonna put loads of washing on line. instead of airer.

off to B&Q to get a new dustbin either today or tomoz. as i wasn't best pleased at cleaning up fridays spag bol the dog had taken out the rubbish bag. i want to get organise and get back to my recycling like i was.

got to cut sons hair in a min. it grow like no tomorrow , just like hs daddy.

changed mind about putting washin on line it just started to drizzle. doh! might stop again.

Wet day here so had to keep taking the washig back inside.

DH drove me to Lidl this morning to get some shopping and they had some good deals on bacon, sausages and bratwurst which we love. But quite a few items have gone up in price from last week - all the cakes have gone up by about 20 pence or more and some of the other prices do not seem as cheap as they were.

Spoke to DD on the phone this morning and she is enjoying university life so far!

Had prawns and salad as a late lunch and have a huge pea soup simmering on the stove for tonight.

Hugs to everyone especially JackieO and pennypincher.

  • Hi & Hugs everyone

A busy but quiet day for me, as I wore myself out yesterday.

DD woke up for her feed at 6.50am but I managed to get her back to sleep for another hour :D

OS wise I've got two loads of washing on the line, it has been rained on but the weather is now dull but windy so it should dry. I have put one load in the TD as it didn't look like it was going to stop.

I've made a cheese & onion quiche (shop bought pastry :o), a walnut cake and I've got some 'Twinks' in the oven.

DH is in charge of DD whilst I'm cooking on early shift today so finished at 2pm.

For tea tonight we've got leftover lamb from last night and chips and veg.

DH tried carrot & swede mash last night which he liked  he doesn't do vegetables apart from peas and carrots, so I'm going to start mashing all kinds of veg with carrots now, he he!
