    Time for lunch!

Isn't he just. He's even taken over as my laptop wallpaper (it used to be the Small Penguins  :D ).

I really sympathise about the noise. The pub on our corner has recently got a late licence. We had all sorts of assurances about noise and behaviour, but they're all being ignored now. We often have children in year 11 (15/16yo - I recognise them from school) shouting outside our house at 1 or 2am on school nights    Where do their parents think they are

    Lil-me - well done you :j :j :j :j :j A new Flylady HQ ;)

    Pen Pin - (((((hugs)))))

Aussie - I can assure you that here in the UK pink velvel hotpants when you're older than 5 is not normal (that was what you said you were wearing when you were checking that your neighbours were OK

Lunchtime over - back to the grind.

    Hi everyone,

Jackie O, Sorry that your wound's taking it's time to heal, hopefully they'll sort it out soon. In the meantime take it easy. Hugs. Thanks for the reminder of Womans Hour...I remember my Mum listening to that every day when we were small. Wasn't there a slot called 'Listen with Mother' in the middle of it?
Pooky's dd, stefiejb's dd, Taplord and Penny-Pincher, I hope you all feel better soon.
lil me, great news about the house!
dlb, I hope things get better for you soon.
Haribo, your light's on again! :naughty:
Hester, thanks for putting your blog on your homepage, off to have a read now.

I'm another one who had a really bad nights sleep so Mr Pink very kindly took all the kids to school and let me sleep in. I didn't waken until 10.00 am but I still feel a bit groggy.

I've done a quick whip around, cleaned the bathroom and cleared the kitchen surfaces of the weekend mess, but that's about it. I'm trying to talk myself into getting the vacum out but I just can't seem to work up any enthusiasm today. :o

Ds2 will be home early from school today as it's the local harvest fair. It's great in the morning but as all the local schools close early to let the kids go by the afternoon it's full of teenagers. I just know ds is really going to want to go so I'm doing a rain dance in the hope that the heavens will open and I can get out of it.

Tea tonight will be stew and crusty bread. That's the only thing I enjoy about winter...making lots of hearty food.

    Take care all,

    Pink

Well I finally got out of bed (the lap top battery died and it was either get up and get on or get up and get the power lead.....I'm just far to good)

Bathroom's had a swipe, 1 load of washing done, DW filled/emptied. Cleaned the hoover out and pushed it in the general direction of the cat hairs. Dragged the forman grill out for some toasty sarnies for lunch - just need to find the enthusiasm to clean it again now!

Going to run myself a hot bath in the hope that it will stop the shivers and then climb into some pj's and then DD's and I are going to watch a film all snuggled up on the sofa passing the tissues back and forth......might even dig out some choccy for the occasion, along with the heated wheatbags as there's a really cold feel to the house today.

Hugs to PP - sounds like you're having a rough time at the mo, hope it all sorts itself out soon.
