Morning Guys!
Dont want to talk about the last few days!
I have my young girl here ATM helping with a few odd jobs and the ironing. She is lovely and always so happy and bubbly. She has even peeled some veg for us for later as we are having a roast dinner as we couldnt do it yesterday:D
Have had a change around of ornaments in the lounge. I treated myself to some lovely american folk art stuff 2 weeks ago and they came this mornnig, so have had a little move around and it looks lovely.
Our friend has just come back from NYC again loaded with goodies;) He also bought me my fav perfume DKNY Red Apple:j ....he would not take any money, but I did cook a lovely lamb stew and dumplings which is his favourite meal:rolleyes:....anyway, he needs some stuff for his new place, so managed to give him £20 of John Lewis vouchers to help get him started.
OH last week managed to bag a bargain at the local butchers. He got 3 half leg of lambs (perfect for a roast for the 3 of us with leftovers) for £12.00. Bargain!
We need to go shopping, but debating whether or not to order online or go to Sainsburys? Have a £7 off a £70 spend at Tesco, but not sure if I need that much
My stitches came out over the weekend and the stuff they put in there fell out, so I now have a hole through to my sinus and keeps whistling etc whenever I speak or eat. I have contacted my consultant at Kings as I really dont want t go back to my local hospital as they have really messed my mouth up. I dont heal well and they lied when they said that the root was in my sinus. My dentist showed OH an xray last week and he said there was nothing and that they must have pushed it in by mistake:eek:    ...I dont know what to do?
Anyway, Im off to have a sleep and try and eat something.
Hugs to all.

Morning all,
I have a spring in my step this morning (well after throwing up at 7am lol) and have now decided to start decluttering my bedroom, it would be nice to get up for the loo in the middle of the night without tripping over something!
I always thought i wanted a large house with lots of rooms but now i have one i realise it is just more space for me to clutter up and get defeated at the thought of tidying!
So today i'm going to work through some of it...slowly :0)
N9eav - hope you get a better nights sleep tonight.
JackieO - hugs and hope you feel better soon
Jcr - good luck with the meal plan, i still havent managed to write one yet and i've been planning on doing it for months.
Dlb - hope your dad is ok hun
Taplady - i really hope your dh starts to feel better soon
Nicola - what a nightmare with the bank, they never seem quite so quick to sort things out when it's stopping you getting money out do they? My bubba has just started wriggling around in the evenings and i cant wait for the day for it to start booting me properly :0)
Hugs to pooky
Redruby - i want some mars bar vodka but unfortunately cant at the moment so you'll have to have an extra one just for me :0)
Hugs to anyone else who needs them and hope you have a wonderful day :0)
Leigh xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!
Total £560 -
Leigh glad to hear the baby's having fun! I'm missing being able to have a drink when I feel like it too. I'm not really a big drinker normally but it's just the lack of freedom that is frustrating.
Spoke to a lady at the bank who was so nice - we got chatting and she had the same problem as me in her pregnancy! She said to definitely listen to what the hospital say - she didn't take it as easy so ended up staying in the ward until the baby was born. I'd hate for that to happen!£4000 challenge
Currently leftover - £3872.150 -
Oh god Nicola, i cant imagine anything worse than having to stay in a hospital ward for any longer than needed (eg 6 hours in the case that they drag me in hancuffed kicking and screaming to give birth there).
Make sure you do take it easy how long do you have left?
Me i'm birthing the OS way rofl, this baby fingers crossed will be born the same as my two year old in the comfort of my own sitting room!
Luckily the midwives clear everything away so i can save the ladies of the board from needing those type of OS cleaning tips :0)

Good morning everyone:D
Well it's lovely and sunny here now, although it was miserable first thing. Too wet to get out and do the garden though, and it is desperate after nearly three weeks neglect while I was away.:o
JackieO, good to see you post, I was wondering because I hadn't seen you since I got back:D Hope the wound starts healing properly soon. My mum had the same sort of trouble with hers, but then once it started to heal, it did so very quickly, so fingers crossed for you. That chair sounds ideal for you, and you're worth every penny, so enjoy:D
I've got to go to the post office today to send mail abroad, so that'll be a good half hour wasted queuing:rolleyes: Still I'll have to check out how they're doing with our being-refurbished M&S on the way back (I love that shop! Pity I can't always afford their prices!!) My credit card is a M&S one, and on the odd occasion I used it in Canada, it always got a response. Apparently they were a presence there for some years, but have now pulled out. Even youngsters said * it was the only place my grandparents shopped*
Best get off and start some of these chores, since the housework fairies have definitely lost my address :rotfl:
((((hugs)))) to all the poorly ones, Pooky's DDs and Taplord (I love that!!)
Bye,

Hello All!:D
Well I was up in the nite too 1.30-3.15, also my eastern european neighbours decide to blare out music from their cars at 1.30 with their stupid techno pop! then it went quiet then blasted again at 2.10!! and its not the first time!! they have a habit of it:mad: A few people had a shout out their windows and they turned it down thank god!! They have no respect for others or little kids that have to get up for school:mad: rant over!
Been to Asda for a few bits and made a bolognaise sauce in SC and ive got some courgettes to use up - not sure what to do with them yet.
DD is now back from nursery - so peace and quiet time is over:rotfl:
pennypenguin - Had a look at Darcy - Very handsome!!:T
Time for lunch!0 -
Penny pincher - ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) - sounds like they've made a complete mess, which you just don't need at the moment.
Had a success with shopping for ds2's room. Curtains (choc brown and fully lined) down from £40 to £6.50, 2 fake suede coffee coloured lampshades down to £2.99 each and 2 sets of sand camouflage bedding for £9.99. He wants his room to look a bit more "grown up" so the Peter Rabbit lampshade has to go!!!!“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hello everyone,
Yes, I'm still here, reading more than writing as per usual. It seems a lot of us didn't sleep that well last night - could I join the group? Weather here isn't the best either: it was raining for quite a while and though it's stopped for just now, it's horribly damp out there.
On the last day of my 4 day weekend (sob!) so got to see what I'm going to do today. Really need to go and do some shopping as the fridge needs filling up - think it'll be spaghetti for tea though, and I do have some garlic bread in the freezer which would be nice. Then, if I can tidy myself up enough, I do need to go and get passport photographs taken. At least I got my hair cut on friday and it looks nice - shorter than I've been used to for a couple of years now, so had a minor panic attack just after it was finished, but now I'm used to it I'm happySo there is plenty for me to do today - it's whether I do everything, or nothing at all and enjoy my day off by sitting and sewing most of the day
If anyone finds me asleep in the corner though, please wake me up and tell me to get on with it!
Lots of *hugs* to all, take or leave as you please...0
