I love love love my hot water bottle! My husband rolls his eyes when I make one up. However this week he is in Netherlands in a staff house with no heating and has ended up making his own one using a plastic bottle and hot water 😂😂0

I find the heat my husband radiates at night more then enough warmth
My only concession to the winter is a fleece on the bottom half of the bed and flannel bedding
Still on the 4 tog duvet, window is still open, we still both sleep in our skin and it was minus 7 this morning
But I do have a HWB for medicinal purposes. It's the best pain relief going, be it toothache, backache or period pain, HWB everytime
JackieO, I love my heated seats in my car. I can't stand the car heaters blowing in my face making me feel sick. The heated seats are a godsend0 -
I wouldn't be without my lovely HWB! I don't like central heating in the bedroom so the radiator is switched off threre, so there is need for extra heating inside the bed.
Since I bought a woolen mattress cover and a woolen quilt the bed is not so freezing cold when I get in, but the HWB makes such a difference.
I use it first (for my permanently cold feet) then pass it on to DH's side and when he is toasty too he pushes it back over to my side and sometimes I just hug it to me as I fall asleep.
We don't need more than one, but if we did, I have 4 in total, in case we have guests who need one. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

I couldn't live without my hot water bottle, I get painfully cold feet so take one to bed with me for 10 months of the year.
In colder weather I like to wrap up in a fleecy blanket cuddling a hwb while I'm reading of watching TV, you can't beat the cosiness.0 -

It's also useful to pop it above the dashboard by the front windscreen to help warm it up more quickly when you are de-icing the car before setting off.

I used to do this many years ago in my Ford Escort. There was a hole in the footwell so it helped on the cold dark mornings.
I use a hot water bottle regularly, mainly in the evenng on the sofa.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

I've got one with me right now! I love them and always have. I always use one when my partner is away. But i've been using them more recently because it's been so cold!0

Love my hwb
Can't sleep with cold feet!
Kiddies like their "warm cuddlies" too - they have microwave owls although tbh they get warm just left to sit on the radiator...Bossymoo

Since receiving an absolutely massive heating bill and having my DD changed from £27 per month to £81 (for one person who works full time and is hardly at home!!) I am embracing all the clothes and hot water bottles to avoid turning the heat on. Love that it keeps the bed warm all night, woke up nice and cosy this morning.Trying to make my way on my MSE adventure.. Debt free since June 2018:j
