Okay I'm going out in a few minutes to pick DD up from school and to drop DS's friend off at the same time.

My living room and DS's bedroom are now trashed - so tell me why did I bother?

Back later than expected. Got a bit side tracked. Ended up going into town to go to the bank for DD1 and then popped into Tescos for a few things. Had to go to DS' school and pay for a school trip and then came, having lunch and get a call from DS, can I bring his trainers to school!!
Anyway, have hoover upstairs and dusted in DS' room. DD's room too cluttered on sides, so they can dust it when they get in. I've got one bed made...other bedlinen in dryer. Just having a coffee and then I'll get back to it.
Still feeling a bit rough and quite tired, but the house is generally looking like I'm on top of things.
Going to try to list some ebay stuff tonight. I've got a pile, will also see if children have anything when they tidy out their toyboxes etc.

    Afternoon All.

Well it is lovely and soggy here again today.

DD2 was awake (A LOT!) in the night, said she had sore ears, gave her calpol but she was moaning and groaning in her sleep. Came into bed with us as wanted cuddles, just nodded back off to sleep, DD1 comes in, "I'm lonely by myself so she hopes into our bed and DH hopes out into hers. Lots of leg thrashing by DD2 meant me and DD1 did not get a whole lot of sleep. Then hubby texts asking if he is in for any action tonight:mad: Men!

Dropped DD1 at school, DD2 to Docs got an ear infection so hopefully she will feel better soon. She is currently fast asleep.

    So today I have:-

Moved DDs room round so radiator can be switched on (will all be done properly when we build bunks at weekend)
    S & S Kitchen
    S & S Bathroom
    Hoovered through
    S & S Lounge
    Dog food delivered
    Carpet shampooer collected
Played bathing baby dolly (and 6 My Little Ponies)
    Walked the woof
Called into work to collect the books I had ordered
Called into pet shop (got coat for woof - typical male whimp was shivering earlier)

    I also need to

Phone BT to pay chunk of bill (blooming advance internet charges)
    Put pizza dough on
    Make pixie biscuits
Make caramel shortbread (or just buy hubby big pack of penguins)

Best go chuck the stuff in the BM for the pizza, quick wee and go and get DD1 - who still makes a fuss going into school everyday. This morning all she kept saying was "I wanna go home with you, I dont feel like it today", OK says me lets go, "No, I want to stay here" arrhhh kids, I use to be one so why dont I understand them??

Why of why does it rain at 3:00 every day of the week?

I bet DS1 and 2 don't have coats so they will be soggy, which will mean a pile of wet clothes when I get home with DS3 (formally known as grotbag) and his friend. I was going to cycle as they have their bikes but don't like cycling in the rain so it will be the dryzabone and a brolly job.

    So far I have...

Cleaned a kitchen cupboard (got nice new dishes!)
    Tidied Kitchen a bit.
Looked sternly at wet washing and commented that it needs to dry.
Looked sternly at Kids bedroom and commented on Big Plans.
Looked sternly at Master bedroom and despaired.
Looked sternly at under stairs cupboard and quickly shut door again.
Asda shopped (did I mention my nice new dishes?)
Used a full box of tissues on DS2's nose.

    Productive.

Hope to have time later to catch up with the thread. Awful week. I had a phone call when I was halfway home from work on Tuesday, saying that my mother had deteriorated, and that I should get there as soon as possible. Longest two hours you can imagine, until I arrived at the hospital. She has pneumonia. She was unconscious all Tuesday, and to be honest, we were all expecting a phone call in the middle of the night. However, she is fighting it, and making a minute bit of progress. I stayed over at my sister's until yesterday evening, but felt so stressed and unwell, that I have come home for a little while, and am having a duvet day today - only because Mum is stable for the moment. I shall probably go back tomorrow. It is a month since she had the stroke, and it's really hard to manage the stress (not just me, all of us).
The staff on the unit are fantastic, and let us stay for as long as we like, any time, at the moment.

DS2's German exchange student just got abandoned - but OH and all three children tried really hard to make sure he was well looked after. I'm going to write to his parents to say how much we enjoyed having him, and will explain why I had to disappear!

The house is still upside down, but I have just pottered about doing a bit of washing. I actually am having to force myself not to rush around, as I can't settle to anything, but I don't particularly want to crack up completely right now!!

(((hugs))) to anyone else who needs one this afternoon.

    Take care.

    Serena
