(((((hugs))))) for mousey... and a virtual kick in the kn@ckers for OH.. I hate men.. they are so inconsiderate and selfish.. as a majority!! I hate being taken for granted like that! I threaten to pay someone to do a certain job and that soon stirs him into action.. mind you we have got 5 jobs on the go at the moment!! It is chaos in here.. especially as most of the jobs are in the same part of the house!!!

This moron that sid he was supposed to be coming today apparently didn't speak to me.. so I told him his name.. lol.. I am SO good at that!! he said he lefta message on my answer machine, I said that is nothing short of a miracle as I don't have one.. he said it was on your mobile.. I said you don't have my mobile number!!! Anyway.. he has rearranged the meeting for Thursday and hubby is furious as he took this morning off work!! and now has to take another afternoon off.. so of course it is me who gets yelled at.. who else?

Thanks pigpen, and sorry you're having a hard time too. I decided that as OH had gone out, that I would too, and sod the flying - let's see if he notices how messy the place gets if I go on strike!

Well I have some good news. I went into town, and went to Zizzi, and I got my wages from that trial shift, complete with a payslip showing how much tax I was charged, so hopefully I'll be able to claim this back at some point as I don't expect to be earning as much as my allowance for a while. It was cash too, so seeing as I hadn't had any breakfast, and it was lunchtime, I treated myself to a coffee and panini from Starbucks.
I also managed to go into the Carphone Warehouse to find out what phone I can get next, so am armed with the customer service number for O2 so I can get my PAC code, and port over to 3 as this is the best for signal in my area. Will give them a call in a minute, and must print off my bill to send off for my cashback deal (nice big cheque through the post will be good). Think I'm going to get the Nokia 6288 (£15/month).

Hugs for Serena and anyone else who needs one.

  • Big hugs to you serena - try and have some rest if you can this weekend and you will be able to deal with it better.

Strange day for me - the contractors building our new school went through a water pipe so we all got sent home at 12. So, i decided to go to the pub for lunch with my department as we haven't done that in a long time.

    so today, i have:
    • watched my a level group give presentations
    • marked half a set of y7 books
    • dealt with boy in my form with low attendance
    • met head teacher about my pregnancy, and he had already guessed
    • completed friday paperwork
    • had lunch out
    • picked charlie up and come home
    • unloaded car
    • chatted to neighbours as they want us to watch their house while away
    • caught up here
i have a busy weekend planned, with a big catch up food shop, a house degrot, buying october birthday pressies, buying things for charlie's birthday party bags, going to a christening, making charlie a fancy dress outfit for world book day next week, and trying to mark 2 and a half sets of books and plan all my lessons for the week. Ambitious, but necessary.

Tinsel - they are just Queenies Everyday Biscuits, my kids just renamed them. They are lush:D

DD1 collected from school, both littles having an hour of telly (ahh! peace) with their sweeties (as its sweetie Friday) so may go make a batch now and cook some sausage rolls off at same time for picnic tomorrow - I will have cheaper energy bills this year:money: .

Will go ring BT now or I'll forget that again.

Thanks for the reminder about the book day thing Michelle, got to work out who DD wants to be and how I am going to make it

(((hugs))) Serena .. That is a nice thought to write to the boys parents to explain, though I'm sure they'll understand.

I HAVE to go to bed when hubby gets home now.. I have a blinding headache, usually cured by wearing my glasses, the ones I am supposed to wear when using the pc (ie ALL the time lol) the glasses which Tiddles snapped the arm in half on Saturday and I keep forgetting to take to be fixed.. I'm not the brightest! If this headache doesn't abate we won't be going anywhere tonight.. I just sleep it off normally.. which takes as long as it does!

Hello everyone, home at last. OU stuff we have some info and can decide later what to do, courses don't start until February.

Been to Ikea, got 2 sets of plates/bowls etc, DP thinks good idea to have 2 seeing as I'll be using a dishwasher, I don't know I've never had one but he said his family has 2 sets so the dishwasher isn't on with small loads. He chose black ones, bit weird for me but he liked them and thought they would suit the kitchen better (black floor) was weird just to have his input, he usually doesn't care. Got 3 of those sets of handy boxes for organising drawers, cutlery set (additional to match one I have, again because DP said will make it easier) cutlery pot, tv cabinet (one that wires hide inside prefer to argos one) doormats, some glasses, some nice baskets I think that is all  left it in the boot until tomorrow :D may aswell take them straight there, plus the TV stand is nearly 50kg  , I ain't lifting that!

I did want to go to the big Asda through there but DPs ankle started playing up so decided best to go home. Going to see what else is on my 'need to buy' list, might take the boys shopping tomorrow after we get the keys, if I am feeling brave.

Big hugs to serena and anyone else who would like/needs one.

Off to hunt for the macaroon recipe, bought the evaporated milk today (eventually remembered!) might make some 'pixie' biscuits too, I like that name aswell, off mooching for recipes, may aswell use the stocks I have up, will be handy for 'helpers' we will be having over the next few weeks if I keep treats in supply!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Hugs for serena and family, take good care of yourselves.

More bad news here I'm afraid. DH has just found out his dad won't be able to walk again and so won't be allowed back home. Understandably both his mum and dad are very upset and DH has been in tears since getting in from work.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
