Hi All,
I've just got back from walking the dog. Going to wizz the hoover around and then remake a couple of the children's beds they stripped this morning.
Going to hoover and dust their rooms while I'm up there, but will sort out toy boxes etc with them when they get home.
Right, see you in an hour...hopefully it'll all be done by then....

Morning all

One load of washing done, which I hung upstairs first because it was raining but it's stopped now so I've put the bigger stuff outside. Socks etc can stay upstairs.

Made a sponge and a marble cake. Haven't made marble cake for donkeys years - hope I've remembered how!

Dusted living room and vacuumed all through downstairs. Always have to vacuum when I've been baking, I'm such a messy toad.

Hope everyone's OK.

Right.. the back room is cleared.. and about to be vacuumed.. I have a carpet!!!!!!

Middle room is a fair bit messier but we have got rid of most of the junk out of it so it is just a case of picking up and putting away now which makes it much easier.

The landing is the next place to clear.. downstairs is almost presentable but upstairs is a swamp of decorating tools and paint!

Had a row with OH this morning as he was up at the crack of dawn having kept me awake til gone midnight watching one of his alien dvds, and I didn't get up til 9am. I made him a cup of tea, and then put the pc on to check whether the temp agency have emailed me about the job I'm meant to be doing next week (they still haven't), and of course to catch up on this thread. I also wanted to find out the menu at the pub I thought we could go to with our friends from London on Sunday. Anyway, it was 10am by the time I decided to get some breakfast, and I discovered that OH had covered everything up in the kitchen ready to paint the ceiling. I told him that I hadn't had breakfast yet, and how was I meant to get it ready, and he shouted at me and called me lazy!! He told me that all I do is moan at him, and go on at him whenever he gets home for example tidying his carp out of the living room, and I said that that is because he never finishes things, and started to cry cos I was so frustrated and upset. He then said "oh turn on the waterworks!" and I said that if he finished just one room (ie the living room) then I'd be happy, cos even though the kitchen isn't finished, it is tidy. I told him that he obviously takes no pride in how the house looks, and that I'm fed up with trying to tidy up around his carp!

I'm still fuming at the fact that he called me lazy! He knows how much I do around the house, and I worked on Monday!

Anyway, he has since tidied quite a lot of the living room and knocked on the bathroom door to say that he will finish the rest this avo as he is going to cut some lawns (see what I mean about not finishing anything?). I've hoovered all the newly cleared areas of carpet now.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

(((((hugs))))) for mousey... and a virtual kick in the kn@ckers for OH.. I hate men.. they are so inconsiderate and selfish.. as a majority!! I hate being taken for granted like that! I threaten to pay someone to do a certain job and that soon stirs him into action.. mind you we have got 5 jobs on the go at the moment!! It is chaos in here.. especially as most of the jobs are in the same part of the house!!!

This moron that sid he was supposed to be coming today apparently didn't speak to me.. so I told him his name.. lol.. I am SO good at that!! he said he lefta message on my answer machine, I said that is nothing short of a miracle as I don't have one.. he said it was on your mobile.. I said you don't have my mobile number!!! Anyway.. he has rearranged the meeting for Thursday and hubby is furious as he took this morning off work!! and now has to take another afternoon off.. so of course it is me who gets yelled at.. who else?

I am having a sarnie.. putting Tiddles to bed for a bit and I may just join her!!!

Best S&S the kitchen while I wait for hubby to get back from shop.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Working on my shopping list - Currently at £70 and my budget for the month is £160 :o But my freezer is empty and this shop does account for ALOT of bulk purchases like toiletrolls etc so in theory, I should be able to come in on/near budget this month. Damn, just remembered I need to add spread for baking to the list  Plus there is LOADS of fruit on the list and a box of crisps :rotfl::rotfl:I'm so glad the cold weather is here as I can now start making stews and soup for evening meals without complaints from OH and with the way I pad them out we should be sorted and come in on or under budget for the rest of the year hopefully. Which reminds me I need to get cash back and go to the Asian supermarket for a huge bag of lentils & rice. ;)

Bathroom still needs a S&S but the smell from the demoulder is making me feel ill as well  I've already had my lunch, just cup-a-soup, I might stretch to the last apple from the fruit bowl as it looks lonely :o:rotfl:

Oh well, onwards and well onwards :rotfl::rotfl:
