The answer to the main question is on post 5 page 1. You are on a price match deal and copy bills aren't accepted. Thanks for the link; I never use calculators. I prefer to do my own maths so I can trust the results! When E2Save's account information gave totally wrong dates I prefer my calculations. I would add that you must have made 2 claims already; whatever you did with those re. which bill etc obviously worked or they would have denied all future claims as well as those!
• Thanks, this is a minefield.
I shamefacedly admit I didn't manage to get the first two sent. So I am determined to get it right this time. So it's the bill that is due on May 21st as it's dated after May 9th.
I have phoned Carphone Warehouse and cancelled paperless billing - it seems you can't reconcile cashbacks and saving the planet!
Thanks again.

I'm afraid you can't. Price Match t&c are that if you miss one claim you lose the rest. Sorry! Make sure I'm correct about it being a price-match deal - but I can't see how it wouldn't be!

I've been telling people it's a minefield for almost a year. You really MUST know what you're doing with cashback deals, or avoid them! Hence this guide!

Genius. Just wish I had the time, patience, commitment, perseverance and all your other qualities mobilejunkie.

Did a couple of these cashbacks a few years ago with great success. then one the following year and failed miserably. I lost the paperwork. It turned up later. Too much later. My own fault, and that's what they thrive on, yes, I know.

Have been on PAYG ever since. I've recently got an itch, but after reading most of this thread I decided I don't have the time, patience, commitment, perseverance and all your other qualities mobilejunkie. Good luck and I hope you do well with your cashbacks.

Thanks for your kind comments - I'm not sure everyone would agree - especially with the patience! Lol!

At least overall you saved money I'd have thought. You are right though; unless you're willing to put in the time or lose the cashbacks my advice is to steer clear.

Let's take the oldest one first. It's pretty well established over many years but they still like to tweak it every so often:-

OFFER something very attractive - so good people can't stop themselves from ordering despite repeated warnings, advice and explanations over A WHOLE YEAR and (by now) the 100's of horror stories I was anticipating a year ago - but which took longer than I expected (can't get ALL my predictions right!) to start arriving. NEXT, the IIC (read more extensively if you don't know what THAT means, because you haven't done much research if you don't!) ensures the t&c are totally contradictory within themselves, the on-line claim dates (WHERE they actually exist) are WRONG and then (when the FWRI - fools who rushed in, otherwise known as MUGS) follow the misinformation WRONGLY decline not only that but (no doubt) all subsequent claims. That will start happening in another 6 months based on the latest t&c. Now for the new trick:-

GLADLY fulfil orders as the MRI (Mugs rush in) and THEN - only afterwards - steal £9.99 from them as an "administration charge". When queried by the EG's (Eager Gullibles I'm afraid, not Essex Girls - though one may be the same as the other in some cases) dream up varied and completely unconnected justifications for the charge expecting most of the PIs (Poor Innocents) to swallow it (not a reference to the EG's).

The oldest trick doesn't work for the few who actually know what they're doing (but may for many others who plainly don't even though they may think they do). The newest may well work for the many who are complacent and too eager to grab the unmissable deal they have lunged for - but not for me. If and when this happens with my people I will encourage them to tell E2Save to take the phone back as they have STOLEN their money. I'm afraid there's no other word for this. It IS theft. It's yet another new low for E2Save - so I warn again; avoid unless you REALLY know what you're doing and don't put up with their nonsense if you do!
• Have had my e2save cashback deal for 10mths now and never had a single problem till this month. Have always photocopied everything kept the date when it is sent (recorded delivery) etc. Followed everything to the letter but now they have rejected the claim saying the number issued is not the one I am claiming on. Always write on the claim both the origanal and ported number.. They say I should have sent the first bill with thw claim form BUT as the t/c stated I sent this with the first claim so it is alreay in their possesion. They have not returned the rejected claim bill so only have copies of all the ones sent. Not sure what my next move should be on this will they acknowledge the fact I have sent the origanals off as I have copies of everything???

I've been Money Tipped!
If on a "Price Match" deal you only need to send off your 1st bill with the 1st claim - no others!!!!!!!!!

Porting (keeping your old number)

When making the first instalment claim at 120 days, with a PORTED number, we need in addition to the standard requirements above, a copy of the first bill showing the original number we supplied to you.

I have always avoided porting - it can cause all sorts of problems and complications with cashback deals (even though there's no real reason why it should!).

The path for the unjustified refusal is clear; LBA, then sue - provided YOU were following the LEGAL t&c and can prove you did (groundrules, groundrules, groundrules!).

The list of previously satisfied and loyal customers now describing this as a "reputable" company is fast diminishing - though the IIC is oblivious and having just sold a huge chunk of the retail business to a large foreign outfit cpw doesn't seem to mind.

Same thing happened to me with ported number, OSPS refused 3rd claim because I didn't include first bill with original number:confused:
Anyway I emailed cdunstone@carphonewarehouse.com ( don't bother!) then tried phoning 0208 896 5000 ( don't bother!).
I should have listened to Mobilejunkie and all the others & sent LBA then MCOL in the first place.
Yesterday I filed my claim so will see what happens, but my advise is send a LBA today then sue.
