Sky to put up prices in March

The wholesale cost may go down, but employee, facilities and other costs go up. The BB and LR market is so competitive - if they put the price up I would believe that this reflects a genuine increase in their costs.0

My point was meant to be that because of how competitive the market is (and despite the BT wholesale price dropping) all other suppliers are likely to follow suit.0 -
I suspect in the case of most providers it is the broadband element that is being partially subsided by the line rental fees. If we were to have naked DSL it would probably be closer to the Virgin without a phone line option at about £32 a month.0

I have just learned that Sky are putting up line rental from March. Rising from £17.49 p/month to £18.99 p/month, an increase of £1.50 p/m, or £18 annually. I have just attempted to phone the automated Helpline 03300 413 000. What nonsense that is! Unable to ask a question that can be answered properly. Does anyone have an alternative number please?
EDIT: I have been given the broadband number: 0330 332 3037 - I spoke to a human being, who was helpful and gave me the information that it is only the line rental charge that is increasing. There is also this number: 0330412 558 - which is another "Sky Expert" number, but takes callers to a human, not the automated service 03300 413 000 which is no help whatsoever.
I have emailed [email protected] and asked for written confirmation that I can cancel Sky if one service from my account is subject to a price increase.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

When you say "...have fibre?" do you mean Cable? I thought it was still broadband, no matter how it enters your home. Please correct me if I am wrong.I think this job really needs

I'm confused. How high do prices need to increase before you can leave your contract penalty free?
And will I be able to leave the line rental and the broadband contracts?0 -
