Well I am about to turn out the lights and get some needed sleep, but best update first.
I had a letter from the HMRC about non payment of my bills, which I had paid, but into the wrong account! So after a lot of hanging on the telephone I have hopefully got it sorted out.
We had several late fittings with Urgent jobs! Will have to work a bit tomorrow morning so I can keep up with the work coming in.
Collected my Mum from the airport. Took 2 1/2 hours to get there but only 1 1/2 to get back. Have a dislike for the M1! But it could have been worse. Mum's plane landed just as I parked the car, and as she was on wheel chair assistance she was through in about 25 minutes. The plane landed 15 or so minutes early too. She was settling in when I left with a cup of coffee and a frozen Sunday style dinner was starting to cook in her halogen oven.
Dgd was sad to see the babysitter go, as she is off to Edinburgh for university at the weekend.
Life is hectic at the moment.
Succumbed to request for petrol money for DS as he still hasn't been paid yet. I already lent twin1 £20 on Sunday.
So I am going to have to remember the no word better!
I am hoping for a better nights sleep than of late. I have a lot to get done tomorrow both at home and in work ( even though I am supposed to be on a day off!) looks like I will be working overtime for the next few days as we have been so very very busy.

Still having rough sleeping patterns. Frustrating to lay awake in the wee small hours. Meaning I wake exhausted.
I forgot to put the bins out last night and woke just after 7am to the sound of the bin lorry. Dashed out of bed and put them out just in time, but oh the joints didn't like that. My left side really needs time to get moving, especially my ankle since the bite incident. I also need my GP before I really get properly mobile. Definitely need to get my day organised better, so I can gently start my movement etc.
Time to get dressed, running late ( well hobbling late!)

I am a twit. Rushed to work for a meeting except it's next Wednesday not today! So back home again. Dgd has her friend over now and they are playing upstairs.
Spoke to Mum on Skype just to make sure she is ok.
I am going to look at my options for the rest of the day. I have a few things that I want to do today, but I am also aware of my tiredness and feeling it is important to slow down and listen to my body.
I am going to get pen and paper out in a minute and write down my mini goals for the next month ahead. Because time seems to be getting the better of me.

I wasted time on the computer trying to get some things to load without success. I did my SOA again, then had my bath which helped the bones a bit. Had lunch, then went to Aldi and to Towcester. Collected a dress that I had put by for me in a little dress shop I like, and visited my Mum. Spent about 45 minutes with her, looked at the video of my Brother's house, which is stunning. It is up for Sale at the moment, possibly to an Arab who is buying the farm next door that has stabling for his many horses. So it may not be possible to go visiting in the spring anymore.
Went to see Biggest, and stayed for tea. Her partner is away in Turkey with his job, last week he was in Poland. They are apart such a lot.
I was on EEs thread yesterday and she reminded me of a few things I still need to get done.
Biggest is so far still paying me each month for the things on the credit cards, however DS doesn't get Paid until Friday, his first payment at this new job.
I still have not sent my amended accounts to the council so still getting less help then I am entitled too. So I must do that.
I have a lot of little things that I keep putting off because of tiredness and pain.
I need to tackle them and get them out of the way.
I am on my own at work today.
I will need to move my sewing machine down stairs so I don't have to keep going up and down the stairs.
Especially when someone is just browsing the shop. We had 12/13 jobs in on Tuesday and that seems to be becoming the norm these days so I must keep up with them. Which is not easy when working on my own.
I have a fitting at 7pm as well. Wedding party that can't get in during opening times. ( that reminds me I better tell BF as he is here after work today).
Time to get Dgd and her little friend who slept over down for breakfast and get ready for Holiday club.
Trying to be positive and productive today x

  • I love your bottom sentence - you have said before that being positive makes for a better day all round so its good to hear you being positive after everything that has gone on.

Are the little things really little things or are they much bigger?
I'm wondering if you could just spend 15 minutes each evening or every other evening making a start on your list? 15 minutes goes so quickly and then you wonder why you left it so long. If they are bigger things then breaking it down in to smaller things that can be done in 15 mins will still feel like you have achieved something.

Its nice to see that you are still getting a lot of work in - hopefully when your old seamstress starts that will ease some pressure for you.

I was in work by 8.35 today. Left at 5.25 in the end. It was a busy day with lots of customers coming and going. They were queuing out the door at one stage this morning. I have about £200 to Bank tomorrow. I have 26 jobs to do. 12 came in today! I usually think 6/7 is a good day!
Lately I've noticed that we are getting busier more days than not. Long may it continue. I have a wedding dress fitting tonight at 7pm so it's going to be a late tea for BF and I. I will cook something for dgd as soon as I have had a cup of tea. My feet ache as I had new trainers on. Despite being a size 8 I have come to the conclusion that they are too small! (:
Bf collected dgd for me, so she is playing with her friend in the garden and he has decided to go for a run now that I am home.
No news is good news from my children.

I have just found out that I don't have any staff tomorrow as my little girl who helps buried her Grandad today and is not up to coming in. Unfortunately I don't have childcare either as the holiday club is finished now until the return of the school term. I have several fittings booked in, and a lot of work that must be finished before the end of the week.
I am going to have to go to bed early and go into work as early as possible. Dgd is not going to like it at all.
I will need to work late if I don't manage to get on.
