Dgd has been prescribed more different antibiotics for the ear problem plus drops. Doctor said she must be a very brace little girl as ears are quite bad, but she can't take them until we finish the Spanish prescriptions. I am going to hope that the Holiday Club will be able to administer it, as I am on my own in work today as my Saturday girl is expected to get her exam results today.
I went to bed early last night as I was shattered but then I was awake for around an hour between 1.30-2.30ish the alarm woke me at 6.30 and I put it on snooze. I never do that. It's going to be a tough first day in work.
I will have to get used to it as next month I am going to be on my own a lot.

Busy day. Lots of collections, new jobs in and worked through quite a lot considering I was up and down the stairs.
Chatted with Pattern company about stocking their patterns, ordered 10 to start.
Chatted with old seamstress from my first year, and she helped out last Saturday, she is happy to come out of retirement for two days a week and will start on Monday. I have fittings booked in so will have to open anyway.
Dgd managed to get through her day at holiday club but doesn't want to go out to play yet.
I am tired, adjusting back to work and really hungry tonight.

Welcome back . I hope DGD feels better soon . Really good news about your former seamstress . I do agree the Perskindol doesn't smell very alluring but even if it helps a little worth giving it a go . I wouldn't be without it now and have become accustomed to the smell it is pretty herbal . i now put it on my hands at bedtime and find a couple of deep breaths help on nights when you struggle to sleep . It seems to relax me into sleep.
Good luck for the rest of the week .

Dgd is finally showing signs of getting better.
    Work is coming in fast.
I am going to work on Monday as people need fittings.
Old seamstress is coming back. I need her skills and asked her before I went away. We chatted yesterday.
So I have help 2 days a week starting next week.
We are busier than I expected based on last years figures let's hope that it is the bit that changes us up a step

Another busy morning of fittings etc. Only managed to shorten a pair of curtains, replaced a zip in trousers and mended a few other items. Oh and turned a pair of trousers into shorts, and shortened another pair. 7 customers work booked in, with their fittings etc my morning was solid.
Dgd behaved well, thankfully as she does get board easily when she has to come to work with me.
I am tired though, so may try to sneak in a power nap. Washing on the line, and last load from the holiday in the machine. Meat defrosting for tea. Cuppa tea time, and rest before BF comes over. If I had a sun lounger I would lie out in the garden!

Well I tried to sleep but failed. My friend is having a rough day and came to chat. Her son is playing on the PlayStation with Dgd at the moment while she went home to do a few jobs, and I got off my bum and cleaned the coffee table up, vacuumed, washed up, brought the washing in of the line and have started cooking dinner. BF is due in the next 10-20 minutes so food should be ready by then.
Feeling better for actually doing a few tasks, but really need to do a lot more around the house.
I wasn't in the mood for anything before we had a chat.

Spent a good chunk of yesterday in the garden. Bag cut the lawn and attacked the nettles etc, I picked up the toys and furniture out of his way. Tidied up the shed, dig up the potatoes and cleaned up the furniture out there. Then we watched the Grand Prix on catch-up before I popped to Tesco for some rolls etc so we could have a BBQ.
I didn't do anything work related though. Tonight then.
I am going to work in a bit as I have fittings and lots of work to do. Dgd will have to come with me again as no club on bank holiday.
Bf is going home but going to drop us at the shop and we will walk home.
Time for my Golden Paste as joints are aching!
    Have a good one x

A few people in the shop today but only £9.50takings. However we did several fittings which will bring future funds. Also we did a lot of sewing so that will also generate funds soon.
Was a glorious day weather wise. So Dgd and I stopped off at the pub on the way home. Well she stopped at the park with friends and I waited at the pub . Sat talking to an old man who was there, never seen him in my life before, but I just knew that he was unhappy. Two pints later I think I had made him look at life from another angle and he walked away in a more optimistic mood.
I hope that he finds his way from here.
This evening I shared a few hours with my neighbour and my left overs when she was hungry!
Dgd is doing better but clingy so definitely not right yet.
Bf went back this morning so I won't see him now for a couple of days. Phew, gives me time to battle my hordes on ironing!
Back to work in the morning.
    Night x

Morning! Mum's flight back from France arrives this evening, so I will have to leave work early today. Sitter arranged to collect Dgd from Holiday Club. Need to leave her something for the tea.
Can't believe it's nearly two months since Mum went away. Time has really flown by.
It means that on Wednesdays I will be back to shopping and taking her out. As she calls it, we will be ladies that lunch again.
We have a few days before school starts again and I suppose I better fit DGDs uniform etc as she has shot up and thinned out. Just another job I left too the last week.
    Such is life!
I have struggled with positivity these last few days etc but after my chat with the old gentleman yesterday I realised that I was spiralling again and I am going to make a conscious effort to be more positive about things again.
Time to get ready for work. Have a good one
