I went to work early and was there when she came in. I told her we needed to talk, and she knew straight away that she was letting me down. We mutually agreed that she was not able to work anymore. She worked today until 2.30 when I left, it was all done amicably and I felt relieved.
Unfortunately yet another curved ball today as poor little Saturday girls Mum came in at Lunchtime and told her they were taking her home because her Grandad had died.
So I am not sure what is going to happen next week now. The shop may have to shut. The shopkeeper next to me has offered to have a set of keys and let people collect if necessary. I would need to put a note on the door obviously.
After originally planning a fully staffed shop I am doubtful that there will be anyone!
I had to stop at 2.30 as we had my dgs4 birthday BBQ. BF picked us up and took us. Thankfully as I suddenly didn't feel very well and have had to come home. I feel lightheaded/woozy so I am sitting in my armchair with a quilt on, and will be going to bed when DGDs ready.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Hope you feel better in the morning mooloo
That's good about seamstress in a somewhat sad way, not good about the Saturday girls grandfather but she may feel she needs something to focus on, you can't be there all the time & you will get there

I have been in bed for 12 hours ish. Dgd just woke me up asking how I feel and I said I don't know I'm asleep! I had very intense dreams. I still woke up every couple of hours, but fell back to sleep quickly for a change.
Dgd just brought me up some camomile tea bags so I can make a cuppa with my travel kettle.
I cannot do anything about the situation at work today. The plan is to pack our suitcases and take them to BFs ( should have gone there yesterday but I didn't feel up to it). We will stay overnight and come back for Holiday Club and work in the morning. However I may go back again afterwards. But if I find that my Saturday girl cannot fill in as planned I will have to wait until Tuesday morning as I will need to give the shop next door keys and instructions for collections. But she doesn't open on a Monday.
I have the wages, accounts etc to take with me and do at BFs this evening.
The town has been invaded by motorcycle because there is a festival going on in the Town today. Can here a few already this morning and lots arrived yesterday.
Just had a thought that the Sweet shop plans to open this afternoon so depending on what time I go to Oxford I could possibly give her the spare keys just incase. That might be a better answer.
    Now for my tea.
( I keep telling myself that I will be able to pay myself more from now on, if I am the only wage- as long as I also remember that I am going to have to work longer hours and bring work home to keep up. Except Saturday girl of course). But from beginning of September she will be back to 6th form so only Saturday again, until October when Biggest joins me.

Mind you in my life who knows what will happen as it rarely goes to plan!

    Accounts updated and wages sorted.
Our cases are packed and we came to Oxford middle of the day. I have done the accounts etc here.
I am feeling calm and focused. My girl is going to still come to work and her Mum is going to pop in and check on her occasionally.
I will just have to work as productively as I can tomorrow.
I will be going to work from here and coming back here after so we will be going on holiday from here on Tuesday.

    Thanks Pollyanna
I am going to do my best. I am relieved that my girl wants to keep the shop open for me, it's a big trust, but she is wise before her time, she had to grow up fast due to her Dad committing suicide about 4 years ago. She's a lovely girl, she is polite, sensible and enthusiastic. She enjoys sewing and I can get her to make bunting etc and know that it will be done, if a little slow at the moment. But accurate which is more important.

I have a game plan for my day tomorrow.
I have thoughts about the future, but I am sure as I am away I will write a lot and come up with a new plan xxxx

Ah lovely, bf just brought me up a lovely cup of proper tea as he left for work. Luxury. I slept a lot better, only waking twice although the last hour I struggled to get back to sleep. Dgd and I need to nip home to sort out packed lunches before work etc.
I also didn't bring a jacket or cardigan for either of us, so better grab them. The only other thing I didn't bring was a physical book to read. I may stretch my legs at Lunchtime and pop in the charity shop and see what I can find.
The plan this morning is to put the beads back on a wedding dress, then I have several items of clothing to do for a local MP, and a collection of minor repairs and hems to do. I expect to have to work quite late to get it all done before the end of the day.
But all doable and nothing too complicated as far as I can tell.
Have a good day everyone. Onwards and upwards x

I got the jobs I wanted done finished. Even squeezed in some extra emergency jobs for two people. They will collect tomorrow.
The fate of the shop is now in my girl's hands. I trust that she will do her best.
I can't do anything about it now anyway.
We are packed and ready to go.
