😱 that is some increase on the price of oil. I have also noticed prices creeping up in the supermarkets. That’s good you got the locks changed, certainly give you peace of mind. Just be careful if you give any kids who live with him a spare key.Enjoy your weekend5

Wow.. a lovely positive post even if written at the bewitching hours!
Very happy re the keys! Being evil I'd like you to do a dawn raid and rescue the pilfered items!3 -
I'm so pleased you have the locks changed! Parkyp has a good point about the kids' keys, it would be too easy for him to copy one
Nice that you had a bit of time at home and drying weather for the washing. It makes such a difference!
The change in fuel prices is worrying: we have mainly gas heating so I'm glad we don't need it on the last few days, but at some point in this climate we all of us have to give in and switch on. I hope your tank of fuel lasts and lasts!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I`d be inclined not to give those children living with your ex a spare key. You cant keep changing the locks anytime you think he has a copy. They can ring the door bell.3

Oh I am so pleased to read that things are finally making significant progress on the legal front. That's such brilliant news - and I'm really happy that you can feel safe and secure in your own home again.

Thank you Parkyp, Janb5, Cherryfudge & CCL.
I’ve agonised about the key situation for a while. I’m almost certain that the key would be taken and a copy cut, if those living with the ex had one. DD3 was far more pragmatic. She pointed out that if she didn’t have a key for the ex’s house, then her siblings shouldn’t have one for here. Can’t argue with that logic! I did like that thought @Janb5, they can use the doorbell!
Saturday has been quite productive...I was able to get my prep done for the week ahead for Job 1. The younger DCs and I tackled Mr T’s then headed to the beach. It was wonderful to spend time wandering across the beach. DS3 loves looking for sea glass and in his bid to find it, loves discovering shells in general. We found some tiny white bead like pebbles and some stones with 2 distinct colours entwined. The sea today was a pale blue-grey. There wasn’t a huge amount of surf, but enough for the surfers to be dotted about. I love watching the spray rising as the waves reach the point of breaking. Just being there and hearing the sea was such a joy. The buoyancy I’ve felt this week has stayed with me - getting to the beach was the icing on the cake!
I’m also thankful for the opportunity to work this evening. Every little helps!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

So so pleased to read that finally there has been some progress and you've been able to change the locks! DD3 is quite correct, that she doesn't have a key to the other house and given past performance by ex hope it stays that way so he doesn't gain access to a new key.Lovely to read of you feeling buoyant too!6

Oh I’m so, so pleased to hear about the locks being changed! I’ve always worried that he might assault you or destroy your property. I wish I was there when he first tried to gain access and found that he couldn’t! Does he still come round to cook dinner for the little ones?6
