Just a thought if you do choose another company you could share with your parents so they could avail themselves too of the bonus.4 -

Hi HSL, I’ve only just finished reading your diary from the beginning in the last couple of days (it’s a brilliant read, I certainly second all those who’ve said you should write!). You do so amazingly well and have remained so upbeat through all the grief your ex has put you through - I’m so glad to hear that things are on the up with your recent legal news! It’s about time!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thank you Cherryfudge, Janb5, SH, Parkyp, Kittykattykate, SA & DAL. Welcome themadvix - its a long read, thank you for your kind comments.
Kittykattykate - this has been done! A timeframe was given a few months ago. Due to the continued disregard for my privacy and continued turning up while I was at work and taking things, notice was given, by the solicitor, that it would happen by a certain date which was ignored. When the house was accessed again on the first day of term, after he’d had 6 weeks of me being at home, to come and get the items he’d wanted so the6 were changed. . I’ve felt a lot more secure since🙂.
Yesterday ( Friday), I had an unexpected couple of hours free from work, so enjoyed having time to enjoy the sunshine. It’s been tricky getting washing dried for the last week or 2, so I was glad of the opportunity to get washing hung outside to dry.
Income levels are quite up and down at the moment. Job 1 is salaried so no difference there, but Jobs 2 and 3 are paid by the hour, so more prone to fluctuation. Part of the reason for seeking Job 3 was knowing that in winter Job 2 goes really quiet and income can be halved . This week it was too quiet to sustain 2 members of staff, so I went home. It’s good to have more time at home on the one hand, but a worry that my pay will be significantly lower next week. Job 3 was quieter yesterday hence the extra couple of hours in the sunshine. I know that there is more winter security at job 3 so not as worried but it has highlighted to me the need to save as much as possible so that I build up a buffer to offset the quieter weeks.
Thankfully there doesn’t seem to be too many gaps on supermarket shelves locally and the petrol situation seems to have significantly eased🙂. I have noticed that some items I regularly buy have jumped up in price. The biggest price rise that shook me was the cost of heating oil. I usually buy 500 litres which sees us through winter and it cost me around £170 last year. This year the quote from the company I usually use is £314 😳😒😳 and they are generally the cheapest!
Having the extra couple of hours made a difference in that I was able to crack on with household jobs. All the dry washing has been folded and a fair amount of bedding has been ironed - makes me feel that I’m getting ahead! Today needs time spent on getting prepped for the new week for Job 1 and hopefully a shift at Job 2.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
