Awe shame you got woken, at least you did something useful and made your list rather than go back to bed and toss n turn.My energy company went bust looking at new suppliers site will be £25 extra per month but I’ve not had confirmation from them yet. It’s a lot of money when your budgeting.I’ve just defrosted the freezer so that’s an annoying job out the way.Good luck with your cake design. Hope you can have a fairly relaxing weekend.4

HSL- have a look at Octopus. I have had my fair share of utility companies over the years but they have been consistently good. Also if you can find a friend who is with them then you both get a bonus! I also read my meters every month which is very anal I know but at least it keeps me aware of the output etc.4

Thank you Parkyp, Dawnybabes, Cherryfudge, SH, Lucielle & Janb5.
Janb5 - Thank you, I will look at them.
Saturday was quite productive. I got a couple of loads of washing done - drying it is a little more of a challenge at the moment as it has lashed it down all day💧🌧💦🌧. DD2 came with me to visit a bigger shop of a local company. They sell beautiful jewellery including sea glass, so was able to get a present for DD3🙂 and pick up a belated gift for DD2. The grocery shop was done with the list. I confess I did use some of Job 3’s wages to get odds such as socks for DS3 who seems to lose them at quite a rate, a pair of wellies, as his feet have got bigger and a bed sheet. Things that I think I have such as sheets have gone missing, I suspect they have made it to the ex’s house, but frustrating when you think you have enough of something only to find that you haven’t!
I got some prep done for Job 1 before heading out to do the evening shift at work. I do relish Sunday for there being no work on that day🙂. Today’s must do tasks will be getting a cake done for DD3 and getting out for a decent walk!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Sorry, but not surprised that the ex is dragging his feet and ramping up costs (deliberate??). Yes I do think you'll have to go through a formal route for the child maintenance. I hope it gets resolved soon. I'm on a cookery facebook page and the lady that runs it spent 10 years trying to get divorced from her 1st husband, partly because he lived abroad, mostly because he was being an @rse! You will get there eventually!
DS2 and the lift. I thought he was one of the children that went to live with ex? If so, doesn't he have a Dad and 2 older siblings with cars also living there that he could have asked instead of you? I know why he does ask though, you are the dependable one and in time he will realise this. No criticism of you here though HSL. One of mine has managed this week to have me mssing, worrying and being infuriated by them all at the same time whilst living 100s of miles away.
Birthday gift sounds like it'll be lovely.5 -
Hi totally endorse Spendless's comments.
Also look at recouping back payments...!

Get straight on with child maintenance. The sooner you contact them the sooner it will all be on record and starting. He's never been forthcoming with child maintenance or anything else and I doubt he would start now.
I am with Octopus (and have the referral code if you fancy a £50 credit if you switch) - although I think Martin says now is not a great time for switching.
I hope you get this sorted soon - I can't believe how long this has all dragged on for now.Not giving up

Thank you Spendless, Janb5 and CCL.
Well this week has been busy as ever. Covid seems to be edging closer with cases at one of my workplaces. I’m doing lateral flow tests everyday at the moment, just to be sure.
This week has seen a big step forward on the legal front. I can’t really go into details at the moment but suffice to say because of this step, I have felt a freedom and buoyancy that I have not felt in years.🙂. I know I’ve got a lot of work and financial carefulness ahead of me but there is freedom.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
