This thread is a real roller coaster of emotions.

Managed to stay cheery today, dread anniversary of my sisters passing away 3 years today seems like yesterday. Was weepy yesterday but today pulled myself together and think she would have hated me miserable and I am glad she is no longer going through the horrid disease that Dementia is.

Got up early walked up and down my hill - it's a start only 2 miles but my chest just about managed it as steep in places.

Went to a farm park with dd and gk. Treated to cake and coffee.

Then went to take part event at local theatre. Had to watch Punch and Judy gs loves it. Changed a bit they call a social worker when the baby is being dangled out of window. Gs made up got to join in and kiss the crocodile.

Treated myself to a Chinese on the way home, can't say I enjoyed it. Just tired and couldn't be bothered to cook. Serve me right SFD lost doh.

Going to get organised for work this week and have an early night .

  • Lots of love to Tonisfriend and Calling. Pleased you're feeling better Abundant.
My planned sit-on-my-bum day didn't go exactly as planned. Started with a leak of milk in the fridge that meant I cleared the whole thing top to bottom. It had been needing doing, but it took best part of an hour...
Then decided to make 'proper' roast park dinner as well so veggie prep.
Then I had to mark the books I'd been putting off marking all weekend as well.
But I have stayed in my pj's so I got some of the way there and I also bagged a nsd.

    Today I'm grateful for:
Having enough stuff in the freezer for a full roast dinner
Being able to stay in my jammies when I'm a bit sniffly
ds having a friend living close by who entertained him all day.

Today I am grateful for lovely friends giving us a lift home from church in their car (their warm, dry car!), for a long chat with big sis, for dd having a great afternoon, for dh doing some work on my bike, for having plenty.

NSD yay.:j Today I am grateful for.

    1) Forgetting the item for dry cleaning. I went to the gym and came home without poking my nose into shop

    2) Willpower. I ALMOST went in 'just to look' once I realised I had forgotten the dry cleaning.

    3) Forward planning. I took a homemade healthy muffin with me to further help the willpower:D. Waitrose Cafe Raspberry Chocolate Cake is my downfall, and the dry cleaners is in Waitrose.

Plan now is to go into Waitrose on my way into the gym for PT tomorrow. Limited time available for browsing:rotfl:

Tomorrow should be budgeted running club only so hopefully NSD as well.:T

A NSD for me. Slow day but got through by plodding.

Today I am grateful for sleep, getting things done slowly and for having enough in to not need shopping (eating some slightly weird combinations).

Spendy day today as I ran out of toilet roll and had forgotten to write it on the shopping list yesterday. Had to take faulty light bulbs back anyway, so at least two jobs done in one.

A few jobs done and some marking :( I'm really trying to cut down on working at home because I know having a proper break between working days or at the weekend really helps me but it's really tough to actually achieve. Any tips fellow teachers?

I'm a teacher too. Done 5 hours of marking today which is less than most Sundays.I'm trying to cut down on my home working too. Had a burn out before Xmas and that's why I ended up not recovering from the flu.
