  • Thanks everyone for advice. It's a job in my current school so they already know what I'm capable of. Not just an interview ... there will be tasks. Maybe an assembly with 5 mins prep. Maybe a presentation on an unknown topic. Data task maybe or letter task. Then interview. At least two other very worthy applicants. Scary.

  • Morning all. Missed popping in yesterday - manic. Yesterday I was grateful for:

    1) Glorious clear icy day for a 6 mile run. Made me feel brilliant.
    2) A lovely kitchen to spend most of the day cooking in.
    3) A large freezer that I am now going to play Tetris with to try and get all my baking in.

    Small spend yesterday - due to the plan change I didn't have enough peppers to hand. Quick trip to Lidl. None, and no bottles of Pepsi Max. Decided to pass on the cans.

    Thought about FarmF, they often have more frozen veg. They actually had fresh, yay. But they also had my Pepsi Max at 22p a can, even better than Lidl. So bought them as I only had 4 left.

    But no unnecessary shopping yet this month. My 'Fat/Unbudgeted for' balance is standing at 0. Just as well, as last month was horrific, and my weight reflected that.:rotfl:

    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o

  • Hope the blues have blown away this morning Abundant, and you're feeling better.
    I'm busy arguing with myself about whether or not it's too lazy to have a pyjama day. I want to but not sure if I should as I have a list of jobs to do round the house. I realise I can do these in my pj's but I might just decide to sit on my bum all day. :D
  • Had a lovely evening last night with my friends. Planning on a long lazy day today, it's raining so I'm not going to go out to go much- my dad is popping over later but then I plan on doing nothing. I hoped today would be a NSD but I've got to grab an engagement card as my dads recently engaged so I'm still at 6/15.

    I'm off work next week too which I'm super happy about!!

    * I'm grateful for amazing friends
    * I'm grateful for my family
    * I'm grateful for lazy Sundays!

  • Yesterday turned into a NSD - was hoping to pop out and get snacks for the children I was babysitting but time got away with me and they didn't need them anyway so that was a NSD saved.

    This takes me up to 7 for the month (yesterday I posted to say I was on 8 but I meant 6 so have changed it on that post, just in case any one is keeping tabs:D)

    Today will be a spend day as need ingredients for DD's cookery on Tues, bread and soya milk.

    Today I am grateful:
    -That I managed to look after 2 children who were not my own, overnight as well!! (My youngest is 14 so having to deal with a 3 year old is a whole other world)
    -That I have dug out my colouring book and pens and have started colouring again (got them for Xmas and did loads but then they got put away and I forgot about them)
    -That my dogs were well behaved when we had the 2 children especially as 1 child hates dogs. (My dogs aren't naughty but they do like to lick children and hang about with them which of course with their size is not ideal)

    Have a fab Sunday everyone.

    Afternoon everyone.

    Thank you so much for your kind wishes everyone... That meant a lot and cheered me up no end. You're stars!!!

    Meditation - check. Gym - check. :)

    I'm going to have a chilled day today. Need to make some stuff for work next week - and just doing household chores. Had a bit of a spend as needed milk - also managed to bag some yellow stickered crumpets and muffins so they're in the freezer!

    Keep up the good work everyone! Hugs back!

    Difficult day today. Got some really bad news about a very close relative. Had a huge list of things that I was going to do but I've abandoned them for the moment. Feeling a bit down but I'm sure I'll bounce back after I have a chance to think things over.
    I am really grateful for my caring, supportive partner.
    Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    You sound brighter, abundant :) Well done on the YS purchases :)

    NSD today - have spent the day doing chores (deep clean of our bathroom, bedroom and landing/ dressing area inc inside and out of all 5 windows, sorting out jewellery boxes and clothes drawers etc) and baking a seeded wholemeal loaf and some soft white baps (for lunchboxes) and sorting out 1 of the food shelves.

    Food - toast (HM bread and HM jam) for breakfast. LO celebratory takeaway from last night (re OH's new contract after 11.5months without a job) for lunch with lemon 'victoria' sponge for after (yum). Dinner will be chicken kievs, jacket potatoes, coleslaw, veggies.

    Free/ cheap things to do - just about to have a board game session with the smallest 2 :D

    Today I am thankful for:
    * being able to bake
    * a good vacuum cleaner! :D
    * restorative cups of tea :D
