Quick update from yesterday which was a NSD as I am away with work and DH already had a tenner for last hits PT session so it didn't come out of the monthly budget so I'm not counting it
.
yesterday I was grateful for:
1) discovering bullet journaling which is simplifying my life and giving me a creative outlet
2) Lots of hot water at the hotel for a long,deep bath
3) my automatic gearbox, I have always had manual before and it made the 5.5 hours driving I did yesterday so much less tiringSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Yesterday was not a NSD day! Spends were:
- I needed an Oyster card top up when arriving at Kings X tube;
- Bought M&S voucher for friend's birthday;
- £10 towards colleague's birthday present. We all contribute to everyone's birthday on our desk.
- Had to buy face wipes in Boots as I had nearly run out and also some First Defence spray as my throat felt sore and I didn't want to end up as ill as I was in October!
- Also had to get some fresh food supplies as I had been away. Though included in this I bought ryvitas, hummus, tomatoes and apples for lunch yesterday and to see me through till tomorrow so no splashing out on sandwiches!
- Evening nail appointment!
- Cheap first class ticket on train with free cooked breakfast due to advance booking and senior rail card discount!
- Box of chocolate liqueurs from lovely boss awaiting me when I got to work! I'm sharing these out in work though!
- Arriving home in the evening after being away. I love my breaks but it's wonderful to get back home!

Evening all :coffee:
Brrr - it's cold out there tonight. Another busy day at work, but felt more productive than yesterday did, and another nsd - taking me to 4 so far this month. I've had a close look at banking tonight and have decided I need to be extra frugal for the rest of the month so going to try and maximise my no spend days for the remainder of January.
Today I am grateful for:
My new heating controller meaning that the house was warming up once I got in from work.
Keeping going with my list writing because it's making me much more productive.
My big fluffy pjs and slippers
Apple - what are Bliss Balls please?
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening!
Today I am grateful for:
I) Getting some much needed perspective yesterday
ii) My job and the security it brings me
iii) The lessons that life has given me, which have enabled me to grow.
Hi all... Was doing well today but then treated myself out of my spends money this evening - so a spend day here. It is interesting noticing how my emotions are tied to my money - and how I can easily go from feeling safe and calm to frustrated and angry depending on how I have spent. I need to 'allow' myself spends. I was only thinking today driving home how guilty I feel for spending money on anything but food/bills/debt. This month I have allocated spending money and I still feel terribly guilty this evening. Does anyone else get this? How do you get over it?
I'm ploughing through the food cupboard remains and have taken a packed lunch every day so far.
I have a quiet evening planned and an early night I think. See you all tomorrow...⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
