I have just found this thread from a link on Facebook. It looks really great. Hoping to get some good ideas for next Christmas. It will take me a while to work through all the links at the beginning. Thanks to whoever took the time to put them up there.
Heading into Glasgow tomorrow to do some sale shopping. I am usually quite good at buying half price cards and wrapping paper. I have been a bit disappointed in other things in the sales over the last few years.
nic2075 my daughter works part time at Silverburn and the parking at this time of year is horrible. Thankfully this year all her shifts have started at 9am so I haven't had to give her a lift like I did last year, but one day she finished at 1pm and it took her 40 minutes to get out of the car park!
Welcome to the gang! We are all Christmas mad, but like to chat throughout the whole yearGood luck with your sales!

Murie I hope your DBIL gets better soon. Your hubby sounds like a real good egg. It is near impossible to help someone who does not want it, so your DH did a great job. I'm appalled at the service he got though! I've only had to call an ambulance a few times, in Yorkshire, before my brothers were diagnosed as epileptic, in Norfolk when a lad on a motorbike without a helmet got hit by a car and once here in Dorset when I was called at work by a parishner who was distraught having found his neighbour had taken an overdose and made him promise to not call an ambulance. Each time the service we had was very quick. They even sent the air ambulance for the last one, my son was at preschool at the time and they were taken outside to see the paramedics come land, and then because the ambulance hadn't arrived yet to take them closer to the site the postman gave them a lift!
Peppa, I like your no need is good news approach.
MrsI, it sounds like you have really enjoyed having your family round you.
I told mum I might take my decs down before new year's day and she said "are you even my daughter?!' haha! It's only because I want to do a good clean and rearrange the furniture again!
I'm in Dorset tooYour village sounds lovely! We are in Poole, so very built up and a bit bleak!
freespirit66 wrote: »Evening Everyone, we took all the decs down today and took the tree out ready for recycling it looks like someone has wiped over my LR with a screen wiper on a computer and taken all the colour out haha. Its just DD1 and myself tonight so we are opening a bottle of fizz to bring the new year in and then tomorrow everyone is over for my Roast Beef dinner. I just want to say Happy New Year to all my pals and i wouldnt have got through this year without you all, you are all fab!!!
PEPPAPIG i hope it is good news for you my lovely will cross my fingers until the end of the month. I hope DH gets sorted out without you having to spend hours in A&E
NIC i do the bullet journalling, it doesnt matter how you do it, everyones is different, and it doesnt matter if you make mistakes. You should see mine i have been using for the last few months to see if i would keep it up but it makes me happy writing lists, notes, colouring with felt tips etc DS bought me a proper one with dots for christmas so i will try to be neat but i am not going to worry about it. Pinterest has loads of ideas thats how i started now i know what i use and what i dont, good luck!
MURIE i hope SS get their act together and help your BIL see sense, i hope you have a lovely evening
04624181 i havent finished this months challenge yet as i ran out of blooming ribbon so need to get back to Hobbycraft so will be late putting mine on here
This is my fear about proper bullet journaling Free, I get too anxious when I make mistakes and it bugs me! So far I've made my own digital lists so I only have to put a wee bit of my handwriting in as I hate it lolI was right, we're in A&E! Nice staff on tonight though. A nurse, a doc and a SHO have all tried to get the catheter in to no avail. Surgical reg is going to have a go now I think and if not DH will have to stay in overnight which he's really hoping can be avoided. We know how to have a good time on New Years Eve lol.Welcome HIPPIPAL, I'd say you're definitely in the right place.
0462 I'm the same, fed up with chocolate now (words you won't often hear me say) and feeling in need of some healthier eating. I'm really going to try to cut down on sugar and processed food for the new year.
VULPIX we set our £10 per adult limit on Christmas presents for the same reasons - none of us desperately need anything and don't like to see money wasted. It's actually fun finding pressies within a set budget although DD1 is like your mum and buys the most random things. This year I got a crochet your own lion set (I can't crochet) and DH got a mug with a bit on the side to put your biscuit in.
MURIE keeping everything crossed for your BIL.
Thanks for your good wishes, the scan went well so just a waiting game now. DH is having some problems passing urine (sorry tmi) so waiting for a call back from the out of hours service. Have a feeling we'll end up at either the urgent care centre or A&E today for a catheter.

In case I don't get on later I'll wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR now. Your support throughout this difficult year has meant an awful lot to me so a big thank you too, I love this little Christmas community. ❤
Oh Peppa, great big squishy hugs to you! This is not the place to be on NYE. I hope it all gets sorted soon and that you can take DH home before the hospital fills with the drunken tits that usually frequent it on NYE.

Peppa fingers crossed they can sort dh and get him home rather than having to stay in.
We had a great xmas but things went down hill pretty quickly afterwards I have a poorly pup who's peeing bloodtrying to get a urine sample was fun. They aren't sure whats wrong he's on anti inflamatories and antibiotics for now and they want to review in a week or so as his levels were off the chart . He's fine in himself which is a really good sign but obviously shouldn't be having issues so young so they may need to do more tests depending on the results of his next sample. So glad he's insured as its cost over £150 already. Then today I woke up to find our cat had died
so not really in the mood to celebrate tonight though will probably stay up to see the new year in. Might take the decs down later I could do with the space back just hate how bare everything looks once they are gone.
Happy New Year everyone _party_ lets hope for a happy & healthy 2017 see you all next yearthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Peppapig Hope that the staff at A&E manage to help your DH - he must be very uncomfortable.

Welcome 2017!!!
Peppa- hopefully by now DH will be more comfortable and that he didn't have to stay in x
Mandco- oh no that's awful about your cat and you poor little puppy, I hope you get some answers soon and that's its not serious x.
Free- cheers !
I didn't stay up last night to see the New Year in, I felt out of sorts and was getting really irritable which for me is a sure sign of being overly tired. First time in years that I haven't seen in the New Year so it felt a bit strange. I hope everyone enjoyed whatever celebrations they had last night xlovin' this site!

Happy new year to you all!!!
Hope things are more settled now peppa xx
I didn't stay up either... well i say that.. the fireworks going off woke me and i remember moaning to dh LOL We had a"different" christmas this year with my oldest not being able to be with us this year (working constantly until tomorrow) and my mum upsetting my dd2 *rolls eyes* .. next year we're staying at home! lol I got a fab new Cricut explore air 2 for xmas... so i now have 2 machines, so i can cut even more at once. My lil business is doing quite well atm. The family have finally decided i can get rid of decorations tomorrow.. nice of them huh lol. I hate it once all the lights are down, every year i say i must get some lamps or other lighting but never do.
Doing quite well in the jan sales too! though going to try my hardest and not buy so much this year... think dd4 just got bored of opening pressies at the end oops. Managed to get £100 of bits for £18 on m&s site yesterday.. the sale items went down to 75% off in the basket, got a few elf items and pusheen sets for my dd2.
No real plans for this year really. I would love to finish decluttering the house and decorating it but we shall see! oh and i'd like to lose another 7lbs but really no rush for that (managed to do alot of soul searching last year and lost the 4stone i had put on the previous year again so no much left to go)
Off to start making our new years day pork roast! yummy... looking forward to being back on the healthy eating wagon! lol
Hope you all have a fab year!Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Happy New Year everyone!
Welcome to all the new joiners, everyone is welcome to the Christmas mad house.
I had a relatively quiet Christmas and New Year which is just how I like it. I've had a look in the sales online and nothing has grabbed my attention yet but I did get a couple more rolls of paper in Tesco with my shop the other day.
Peppa - hope you did manage to get home with DH before all the regular NYE visitors start.
mandco - sorry to hear about your cat and puppy. Hopefully they can work out what's wrong quickly and fix it.0 -

Happy New Year to you all! May 2017 be a really good year for you.
We did the £10 budget for adult gifts but also stipulated that they had to be consumable so that no-one ended up with more clutter or with toiletry sets that they would not useSmiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
