Welcome to the thread HEVA, you'll get lots of ideas and support on here.

GTQ sorry to hear your uninvited guests are still making themselves at home. Maybe SPRINGDREAMS' idea is worth following?

TREASUREQUEEN sorry to hear your ME and fibro are playing up, I do hope things settle down again very soon.

PINKSTEPS are you still out there, we miss you.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes for DH. The good news is that he's coming home today after surgical intervention yesterday. Not so good news is that he's got to learn to catheterise himself twice a day - DH is not good with bodily things and is also squeamish so this could be interesting! Will be good to have him home though. Nice sunny day today here too after the rain all day yesterday so things are looking up. :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

The tree is down, the decorations and christmas bedding has all been put away. Christmas has officially left the building!
I have thrown the tree and all the baubles except the special ones with pictures in and the ones the kids have made. DH has taken everything to the tip so we HAVE to buy new ones now LOL
Kids and I are off for another week so we are just chilling tonight and will play some games.

Peppa- I hope DH is home and settled.
GTQ- Sorry to hear the squatters are still about x
Heva04- you have made a great start and it will make such a difference near christmas x welcome onboard x

Thank you for the new thread 3forholidays.
Already 7pages to catch up on. I've barely been on here at all, we have been taking advantage of the time off and doing so much decluttering. The spare room is pretty much empty now and everything else sorted out, it does feel good to be organised but could I have another week off? Haha.
I will have a skim through what I have missed and hope to be keeping more up to date this year. Defiantly need to be organised and will slip the Christmas folder out and make some plans for Christmas 2017 over this month.

Hope everyone is well and enjoyed the Christmas season. Welcome to any newbies :)

    Morning all,
We decluttered so much yesterday but we still have a long way to go. I got some wrapping paper from asda last week for 50p a roll so got 6 rolls. Have written a list of all the things we have for next years christmas already like money wallets and packs of cards etc. Have stuck the list on the fridge until I get chance to transfer it into my planner/christmas book x Have to do the food shopping today if I can get us motivated
  • Happy New Year everyone, and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Thank you all for your lovely well wishes, unfortunately i'm still sick but did manage to enjoy some of Christmas.

newthrift congratulations on your wonderful news, I am so pleased for you. How funny we are both due in the same month!

I'm afraid I haven't really read back properly so i'm really sorry if i've missed any big news, I hope you're all ok and lots of hugs to anyone that needs one.

I usually do quite well in the Christmas sales but unfortunately haven't really got anything this time. I haven't been well enough to go to the shops and it's been a bit rubbish online, I keep finding websites have loads of sale products come up but they're all out of stock - if they're out of stock take them off the website! We actually used up all of our wrapping paper and every last card this Christmas, I did manage to get some cards from Next for next Christmas but haven't found any paper so it'll be full price for me later in the year! It must be the Christmas nut in me but I feel slightly uneasy starting the year with nothing in the gift cupboard! :p

Happy new year, hope it is a good one!!
Peppa, so glad Mr PP is home, and as has been said, he will soon get the hang of it (oops, no pun intended)
Treasure Queen, bad news on the flare up, its the pits, but with a new kitten coming its a good start for 2017
0462... What a lovely way to see in the new year. Gosh you are organised. Decs gone, and lists done already!
GTQ glad you are safely home, I cant abide mice, so so sorry you still have em.
Family are safely back in China, decs are down, loft is heaving, purse is empty, so now it is get tidied up and back to what passes for normal here. DD has broken her foot, (her good one naturally), she fell backwards down her back door steps, like only she could. Back to fracture clinic on Friday. DS2 has an appointment with the dietician on Thursday, so its a busy start to the year. Keep up the good work, xxx

Hands up who spends hours meal planning and writing a long list for food shopping and then leaves said list as home!! ah well, bought what I could remember and will nip out on friday for fresh stuff for pack lunches next week.
I am debating taking the kids to the adidas factory tomorrow.
Got spaghetti Bolognese cooking for tea, just looking up some different recipes to try as sick of the same old stuff.

Princess kitty- Glad you managed to enjoy christmas, I went to asda today and they had lots of chrismas wrap in my local one 50p for 10metres. I love it for wrapping the kids gifts in. I get 3 rolls each for them. I get DD one colour and DS another so they know which gifts are theirs.
new thrift- Sounds like you are very busy, glad to hear your family arrived safely back in China x Hope dd is ok x

Hi all, been lurking on this thread and I thought I'd just poke my head above the parapet to say hello properly.

I do love planning for xmas - nothing like a good spreadsheet, although I feel a little that its constantly on my mind so I might try and relax a little about it this year. Our xmas list will shrink as 4 DN's are all becoming 'adults' before this xmas at which point we stop doing presents. Plus an uncle has said to stop buying for adults so that's one less too.

Managed to get a few bits for the younger kids in the Boots sale to stash away already so that's handy.

princesskitty29 - my local Sainsburys still has wrapping paper for 50p a roll so might be worth checking out if you have one nearby. They've moved it all to the checkout area. I've ended buying 6 rolls despite having 11 in the loft...which equates to roughly 7 yrs of wrapping paper in total  (OMG it seems a lot when you put it like that) I wasn't going to get any this year due to the 11 rolls, but went into panic mode just in case they don't have any over the next 4 yrs :rotfl: Also got about 2yrs worth of cards thanks to me an OH both being on O2 (free WH Smith cards with priority) and STILL bought some reduced in Next because I liked them. :o

Wishing all those who are poorly a speedy recovery.

Kerri - Welcome from lurking :) hope you manage to find the list making less stressful this year.

Thank you all for the card and wrap sale reminder we need some, will see if I can find some left.
