It was me earlier today. I was using it as an example, perhaps not the best one!.

Sorry, think I've muddied some waters! I was making reference to some posts in the other thread about white feathers.

    And from me too.

I am really struggling to understand why this thread has come into existence.

    That's got me puzzled.

I don't see anything at all nasty/bossy/whatever in either of the posts - yours or Kittie's. They both sound just plain factual to me.

Nor me ... Someone just looking to pick up and nitpick.

I've frequently read comments from various people about feathers - and it's taken to mean that there is an angel watching over you from what I recall. Now - from my own personal experience - I do firmly believe there is something/somebody watching over me (could be an angel/could be a friend or relative that is no longer with us/who knows?). I'm keeping an open mind as to the source of "help" I've had several times in my life now. It's crystal clear I've been protected several times over my life and I could cite proof of it and, to me, it doesn't particularly concern me as to who or how is doing the protecting. I just accept it when it happens.

Don't know quite what to say LL to that - other than to say "Thinking of you" again. Take care.

I can't say I've ever noticed any feathers that I thought had some significance but I have had one experience when I believe my father came to support me.

I had a very long labour ending in a very sudden emergency c.section. When I woke up, couldn't have an epidural as it would have taken too long, I was aware of a white figure at the right side of my bed, the figure was just in my line of sight standing at the head of the bed and I couldn't turn to see him clearly but I just knew it was my dad. Well he was there for 24 hrs and I didn't mention it to anyone as I thought they would think I had gone mad.

The second day the baby suddenly became unwell and I called a midwife and she called a doctor and they took the baby away, I couldn't move fast but I told my husband to go with her and then I realised the white figure had gone as well. They brought the baby back after some treatment and my father, the white figure was there through the night.

The next morning the doctor came and pronounced her fine and I realised that the figure had gone. I think my father knew we were both in danger and he came to me and stayed until we were both pronounced well.

I was a schoolgirl when my father died, I was a real daddy's girl and it was hard when he died. It gives me comfort that I think when the time comes he will be waiting for me.

Maybe I did go a bit mad but it doesn't matter, it gives me comfort and maybe one day I will see him again.

  • I've read of many similar incidents - so I certainly believe that happens Mumps.

I've not actually physically seen anyone near me personally - but someone else told me out of the blue that there was someone standing there near me watching over me at one point. I couldnt see them myself - but I knew exactly who they meant from the description - and I believe they could see them (even though I couldnt). I will admit to being surprised as to who it was watching over me - but the description was quite clearly recognisable.

  • my dad appeared to me once, as clear as day. I have never been afraid of being dead since. Anyone else close is different when they die, especially when it is sudden, out of the blue. Had a few to cope with in the last 20 months, my husband, my dear sister in law and just a month ago, my gorgeous younger sister. I have had to work hard to cope with all this.

I never knew about those small fluffy white feathers but they do appear when I need help or if I am not sure what to do or if I manage to do something problematic. We can guess but all will be revealed in time
