    Morning all X

Valli Thinking about you today. Huge hugs X

I'm just having a cuppa then will get on.

I picked up DS1 from the station yesterday. Someone had stolen all his Christmas presents on the train so we spent quite some time reporting that. I dropped him at his gf's home. He is very unlucky. I hope it will be another lesson learned.

Ds2 has a befriender coming to play this afternoon.

    Wm is on.

Hugs good wishes and coping vibes for all who need them.

I'll take plenty of those with thanks. Is it wicked to hope I get a call to say today's assessment is cancelled?
Managed to make Christmas puddings last night, hope they are ok - it's so nerve wracking you don't see them until they are served! After a lot of faffing about I decided to do the cake today for fear it may dry up in the next 2 days.
Got a large part of the last report I intend to do before Christmas done, but had hoped to finish it then final check today.
Pay claim may have to be posted, not worth stressing about.
Can't remember what else I said I'd do but today needs:
    - report to be finished
    - assessment to be done
    - clothes to be at least thought of, if not packed.
    - one more present to get for Mr N and would like to wrap his today although realistically I could wrap them down at mum's.
    - I'm not going to list anything else or it will make me panic. It's all going to be fine.

    Happy Solstice LW
May the goddess of efficiency and good cheer be with you all.

Oh Bossy, I envy you. I have four to wrap and fill this year. They've cost a small fortune

That's serious dedication - I thought the point of the stocking is that you didn't wrap stuff, but then I'm old and out of date (and on the rare occasions I'm hosting the whole close family, I still do the satsuma/chocolate coins/things under £1 loose in a stocking).

Hello everyone. Just wanted to pop in to say Valli, thinking of you today.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Hello all,

Not been here yet this week, not even had time to wee. Everyone looks just as busy.
valli, huge hugs, and I will be thinking of you and your family today. Xx
Natty thanks very much for the Christmas flylists, I'm going to look at them now to try and get some order to my flapping. I've written my own list for today, which is long and involves losts of stuff. One of the items is just "housework". So I need a bit more direction.
Dancemum, how awful for your Ds.
Narco if you're old and out of date, so am I! I do what my mum and dad did for me in the stocking. Satsuma, nuts, fifty pee and chocolate coins, and a small inexpensive thing. That reminds me, need nuts and choccy coins.

Well, I'd better get on with it!

Just back from a quick last card and pressie drop round the estate, posted a couple of last minute things first class and pray they make it. Had natter with work colleague and took her a bottle as she's not well. Nipped in. iOS and sorted her tablet box out as she's got in a muddle with it. I fill it and she takes them out each morning so she knows what she's taking that day and I ring her warfarin results as that is checked weekly so she puts that in herself when I ring noticed yesterday she is putting wrong Amount in- so when I ring and say 1 on these days and 0 on these she's writing it down then apparently reading the 0 as a picture of a tablet so only taking it the days she's not supposed to. No wonder her levels have been low for the last few weeks she's not taking it. Means I need to go round after the phone call as well now.

Dancemum that is terrible, there really are some scummy people in the world.

Re stockings, Santa always wrapped gifts in them so that the children knew which bag of pressies downstairs was theirs (when you have five there needed to be some kind of order system) the most frustrating thing was if Santa had to rewrap a whole child's worth of pressies as someone had misjudged the amount of a certain paper needed. Santa did used to make a rod for his own back some years, he even bought and decorated the tree and built garden swing sets and big trampolines some years. It was decided after a few of those that magic of walking into a freshly decorated and trimmed lounge with completely shattered and worn out parents wasn't worth the stress so the tree was bought and decorated as a family in the run up to Christmas after that.

Edit posite has just been with a lovely stack of cards so I'm going to have a cuppa and read those, thank you everyone.

Ds1 won't be pleased Postie has bought him a customs charge for a held package it will cost him £20.80 to get it plus a trip into next town to pick it up.
