Hugs to everyone, trying to get the lounge back to some sort of normal, obviously the tree and deccys are staying but detritus of wrapping and the boxes of pressies dd2 left her yesterday need tidying, the gifts will be transported over hers in next visit. The wrappings just need gou through again before going outside for recycling in case a stray gift has found its way in the recycling bags.
Mil got very tired quickly and was suffering with backache so didn't stay long after dinner. - will pop round and see her later to check she's alright.

The kids all got together and once we had dd1 on Skype do they could all see we were pesented with a hamper containing some of our fave food and drink treats and nestled amongst them was a pair of tickets to see kiss next year. Whooty woot. It's about 10 years since we last saw them so it came as a total surprise.

    (((Hugs))) Valli.

Great rescue, Jazee, thank goodness you did take the dogs for a walk. And the reason you could cope with three was because you were smart enough not to have two puppies at the same time. Thank goodness you could take it in for them when needed, though.

You'll miss them when they've grown out of 'needing' to get in with you on Christmas morning, Bossy.

DH is now asleep as are Littley and Poppet so I think I'll just pour some b0llinger and watch some telly.

    Have a restful evening everyone.

Sounds like the perfect end to a busy day.
We have snow. Shortly off to Braemar for family sledging. Joy.

    Cafe and hot chocolate calls.:D

Only 24hrs to survive. Definitely won't be staying up late. The men are having a whisky tasting session tonight. That might just be too much temptation considering the mood I'm in.

I hope you got through it in one piece, FBO and came out the other side smiling.

We're back at home, all the detritus and gibble that needed to be put away is in my office :rotfl:, OH has picked the turkey clean and is making stock with the bones, Kelpie has crashed completely in his favourite nest and Devil Cat is at his most affectionate and noisy having been on his own (apart from lodgers flitting in and out) for a full 24 hours. (He's been stuffed full of turkey, too.) I'm doing NOTHING for the rest of the day apart from making turkey, ham and mustardy mayo sandwiches for supper. Anyone who wants one is welcome to drop round.
    Better is good enough.

Hope everyone is having a good Boxing Day. Mum and I treated ourselves to a cinema trip this morning as today is a 'nothing' day otherwise - a far cry from when I was young and we had family round both days - and I am now planning on a lazy couple of hours as yesterday took a lot out of me even though it was just a few hours with Mum followed by a few hours with Dad :o

Froddy how are the wee ratties settling in? Have they got names yet? :o

They have settled in really well, thanks, and are very cute and friendly. They may be called Rascal and Scamp :rotfl:

Oh wow - very jealous! What a fab gift :D

Jazee - sounds like you prevented what could have been a devastating event x

Valli - thinking of you and hoping you had some laughs and good memories alongside the tears xx

    Phew!

We are home, alone (well the 3 of us). Been to my aunts this afternoon for the usual get together which was lovely. Had baby cuddles with the tiniest relative :) and danced with my other cousins two year old, she is a cute wee bossy, she was demanding music from my phone and wanted me to twirl her round. Very sweet. She came with her granny (my other aunt) as her parents are in a bit of a low spot following their loss last week.

Inlaws have gone home, so we are having a day to ourselves tomorrow. DS wants to write thank you's as he is so made up with his gifts - he's writing two to me :rotfl: and lots to Santa, 3 to granny and gramps, one to my brother, lol. He'll busy!

I need to find homes for their stuff, which is much less than previous years.

    Floors need mopping too!

Wee bit jealous about the snow, FBO :)

Hope you've all found some peace at some point over the last few days xx

    House vaccummed
Boys' room dusted and window cleaned. It is behind bunk beds so it hard to do but with the sun shining today I realised how bad it was.
    My wardrobe mirror cleaned

    DH cleared the ironing
